Professor Accused of Sex With Dog – ‘I Do It to Blow off Steam’
An award-winning Penn State professor is under fire after an investigation into footage from a state forest trail camera on April 13th allegedly caught the 64-year-old professor performing sexual acts on his dog.
The professor, Themis Matsoukas, was charged Tuesday after he was allegedly caught committing sex acts with his dog near the bathrooms at Rothrock State Forest in Pennsylvania, according to a criminal complaint filed by the state Department of Conservation and Natural Resources.
The professor, who is currently on leave from Penn State, was identified by park rangers from his North Face backpack, which was visible in the camera footage from the April 13 incident. The backpack was also present in images depicting Matsoukas nude from the waist down, except for socks and shoes, in images from trail cameras dating as far back as 2014, according to the complaint.
After earning his Ph.D. from the University of Michigan, the professor taught chemical engineering, working for the school for over 20 years, and is the author of a recent undergraduate textbook on the Fundamentals of Chemical Engineering Thermodynamics. He published a multitude of journals relating to his field, and has earned many accolades from Penn State for his work as a professor, including the Premier Teaching Award from the Penn State Engineering Alumni Society in 2017, all cited from AIChE, where according to their website, is ‘ the premier educational forum for chemical engineers interested in innovation and professional growth.’

The Rangers served a search warrant for his State College residence on June 9th, where the professor was ‘visibly nervous’ and repeatedly told the rangers ‘I’m done, I’m dead, you don’t understand, I do it to blow off steam.’
Once the search warrant was successfully carried out, Rangers found the backpack and ski mask that were visible in the April footage, as well as the dog in his home which matched the dog in the video
Matsoukas was charged with misdemeanor charges of open lewdness, indecent exposure, and sexual intercourse with an animal, and summary charges of cruelty to animals and disorderly conduct. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for July 19.
When confronted by the Centre Daily Times, Matsoukas’s attorney, Matthew McClenahen, said that ‘it would be inappropriate to make any comment at this time.’

Another user made a different kind of pride month joke, this time taking aim at the White House.
'Good boi'

One user went as far as to say that this came as no surprise, because Penn State has had professors perform other sexual acts where they are not supposed to.
What did they do

It is unclear if the school made any statement dedicated to changing their hiring procedure to prevent someone like this to be employed at their school again. It is also unclear what exactly the professor meant by ‘blowing off steam’ or what his intentions were with doing the sexual acts on his dog.
