According to the Escambia Sheriff’s office Facebook account and the arrest affidavit, Murdock broke the glass door on the porch of the unoccupied Florida vacation rental located in the 100 block of Avenida Ave, and went in. While thieves normally take things during a burglary, Murdock apparently made himself at home and took a nice relaxing bath, and then took a nap in the master bedroom before enjoying the view and a nice hot cup of coffee out on the back porch.
Apparently, Murdock forgot to clean up after himself and left his coffee mug behind on the back porch, leaving more evidence behind, according to the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office.

Before leaving, Murdock filled up the trash can with an assortment of trash which included his bus ticket stub, which allowed deputies to identify the burglary suspect as Zachary Murdock.
Later that same day, the sheriff’s office said deputies responded to another incident in the 1600 block of Via De Luna Drive where a woman said a man wearing a dark colored shirt, dark colored pants and a ball cap walked up to her home and tried pulling on her sliding glass door. Deputies said the woman asked him what he was doing, and Murdock reportedly told the woman he was “looking for Tony” and left.
