[Video] NYC Baseball Bat Thug Attacks Random Stranger

According to the NYPD, an unidentified man was randomly bludgeoned with a baseball bat in a broad-daylight attack in the Bronx last week.

The 37-year-old victim was walking at Aqueduct Avenue and West 183rd Street in University Heights around 2:50 p.m. July 6 when the thug approached him, police said.

Without saying a word to the victim, the thug, who was walking down the sidewalk with Louisville slugger in hand, took his baseball bat and used it to bludgeon the victim in the head repeatedly, authorities said.

The assailant ran off, leaving the victim with a cut on his head and bruising, cops said.

The injured man was transported to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.

The video clip later cuts to him appearing to wring out a wet towel or washcloth on the sidewalk.

The suspect was still on the loose Tuesday, according to the NYPD.
