Florida Man Arrested at EPCOT After Chugging Beers and Nearly Falls Off the Skyliner Platform
Florida Man Chase Holderby, 30, of Merritt Island, made a trip to the Orange County Jail after getting drunk while he was attending the EPCOT Food & Wine festival and almost taking a header off the Skyliner Platform.
Chase was getting his drink on when he slammed down two beers within 30 seconds and started to stumble around while giving other Disney guests the high five in the American Adventure Pavilion.

Once Chase made it to Japan though, it started going downhill from there. It seems other persons in his party did not appreciate Chase’s condition and the argument began. By the time Chase and his friends got to Morocco, Disney security officers had enough of Chase and told him that he had to leave the park.

Chase wasn’t having any of this nonsense. He said goodbye to Marrakesh, and as he headed out, he decided to show off his physique by taking off his shirt. Chase apparently decided he needed some fresh air and got in line for the Skyliner gondola ride, where he continued his antics. According to the arrest affidavit, Chase nearly took a header off the Skyliner gondola loading platform.
“Once in the line queue, he continued to act belligerent and cause the crowd of people in line to become alarmed,” the report said. “While attempting to get him onto the physical gondola car, he wouldn’t initially get in and was dangerously close to falling into the area beneath where the attraction operates.”
Disney staff said they had to shut down the Skyliner ride for Holderby’s safety, “inconveniencing and delaying all other riders.”
Holderby was arrested and transported to the Orange County Jail where he was charged with trespass after warning and disorderly intoxication.
Holderby has already pleaded no contest to the charges and paid a fine.
