The child victim, whose name is redacted in the affidavit to protect her identity, told investigators that she “had sexual intercourse” with Innocent four times since July 2020.

The victim was taken to St. Mary’s Hospital in December due to abdominal pain. Testing revealed she was six weeks pregnant.

The relationship between the victim and Innocent is not disclosed, but he’s been charged with one count of incest.

According to the arrest affidavit, the victim stated the first sexual abuse happened in the summer of 2022. The second instance of sexual abuse occurred in November.

The victim told investigators that Innocent entered her bedroom and told her, ”Give me 10 minutes,” He raped the girl, who said “no” and was refusing and crying, according to the affidavit. The victim stated Innocent stopped and said ‘never mind’ because she was crying.

Investigators made a controlled call from the victim to Innocent. During the call, the victim told Innocent she had been throwing up and told him the hospital would give her a pregnancy test. Innocent told her to say no and made up a story for her to tell the police about a relationship with a boy named “Semen.”

Innocent told the victim if she told the police what happened, he would go to jail. He also told the victim she wasn’t pregnant because her period was not due for another week. The victim asked, ‘did you do it inside of me?’ to which he replied Yes, I think I do it'”

During an interview with innocent about the allegations, he admitted to raping the girl when he told investigators that “he believes voodoo caused him to have sexual intercourse with the victim.” He also claimed that he only remembered having intercourse with the victim on two occasions and that the first time was approximately three months before his arrest.

Innocent was taken into custody on Dec. 19. He was transported to the Palm Beach County Jail, charged with one count of incest, one count of impregnation of a child, and two counts of sexual battery of a child in familial or custody or care. He is being held without bond, and his first court hearing is scheduled for Jan. 18.
