Video: Beto O’Rourke disgraces himself with ‘sick’ attack on Gov. Abbott

Yesterday, tragedy struck the state of Texas as nineteen children and two teachers were shot and killed at Robb Elementary School.  18-year-old Salvador Ramos has been named as the suspect.  Ramos allegedly shot his grandmother before carrying a rifle and handgun in to the school and opening fire on students and teachers.

On Tuesday night, Rep. Val Demings, D-Fl. quickly seized on the tragedy to attack her opponent, Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fl.  Demings condemned him for his ‘inaction’ and mocked religious people who offered ‘thoughts and prayers’ in response to the shooting.

Hours after her comments, The Democratic nominee for Governor of Texas, Beto O’Rourke, attacked Governor Greg Abbott, R-Tx. in an explosive exchange.

Wednesday afternoon, Abbott held a press conference with law enforcement officials to address the school shooting.

Just as the press conference was set to begin, Beto O’Rourke approached the stage and loudly confronted him.  O’Rourke called the school shooting ‘predictable’ and blamed the carnage on Governor Abbott.

Uvalde Mayor Don McLaughlin quickly rebuked O’Rourke, saying that he was ‘out of order.’  O’Rourke attempted to shout over the Mayor, leading him to call O’Rourke an ’embarrassment.’

People on stage hurled epithets at the former Representative, calling him a “sick son of a b*tch” for making the shooting a political issue and saying that he needed to “get his a*s out of here.”

Abbott attempted to de-escalate the situation by asking O’Rourke to leave the auditorium.  O’Rourke walked away from the stage before turning around and continuing to yell at Abbott, pointing his finger at him.

This is a developing story.
