[Video] Violent Twister Rolls Through Palm Beach, Hurls Cars, Causes Massive Pileup
A violent tornado rolled through South Florida on Saturday, destroying buildings, toppling trees, and even hurling one vehicle across a roadway in a shocking moment caught on camera. At around 5:00 pm, the twister rolled through North Palm Beach, shutting down the streets and causing a massive pileup. The dashcam footage of the disaster shows one car being lifted into the air by the storm, spinning several times, and back down to the pavement.
In the video, debris flies through the air and covers the street as the storm moves across the roadway. It is currently unknown if the thrashing injured the occupants of the vehicle.
Firefighters say that two cars were flipped by the tornado on US 1 in Palm Beach Gardens, with one driver sustaining minor injuries.

The tornado also reportedly rolled through an apartment complex, smashing the windows of the building and creating a massive vehicle pileup outside.
Speaking about the devastation to the area, one resident told WPBF
“I watched it for about 20 seconds to see which way it was going to move and then obviously, when I saw it kind of closing in toward us, I immediately shut the slider, went back in, huddled in the bathroom, the building started to shake, there was a lot of noise for 20 to 25 seconds.”
Jason Rash, another resident of the apartment complex, told the outlet,
“I’m lucky to be alive. I had my back against the concrete wall. I’m in an open-air parking deck and I’m like, ‘I’m going to get blown away. If I stand here, I’m going to get slammed against the wall.'”
