Trump Allies, Gaetz, Greene, Blast Republican Presidential Candidate Nikki Haley at MAGA Rally

Republican Representatives Marjorie Taylor Green and Matt Gaetz joined Donald Trump at his first campaign rally on Saturday in Waco, Texas, attacking presidential hopeful Nikki Haley.

Gaetz laid into Haley for her approach to foreign policy. In announcing her run for the presidency, Haley mentioned her plan to get aggressive with Russia and China.

“They all think we can be bullied, kicked around. You should know this about me, I don’t put up with bullies, and when you kick back it hurts them more if you’re wearing heels.”

Gaetz argued to the crowd that this strategy was not a change but the failed interventionism of yesteryear, contrasting it to Trump’s record.

“Nikki Haley says that we must kick all of the world’s bullies with heels, But we cannot go kicking and screaming around the globe, starting new wars behind every Middle Eastern sand dune as Nikki Haley would have us do.“So Nikki Haley can keep clicking her heels. What we know is that President Donald Trump will bring America’s enemies to heel,”

Gaetz even argued that Trump should get the lion’s share of the credit for DeSantis and Ted Cruz’s election victories.

In an interview with the Right Side Broadcasting Network at the rally, Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene made the case that Haley, and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, would not be able to clean out the swamp as well as Trump. “Here’s what we know about President Trump. President Trump has a list of names, and no one else has that,” she said. However, the representative did not specify what she meant by “list of names.”

“Ron DeSantis doesn’t have that. Nikki Haley, or whoever she is, she doesn’t have anything like that…No one else knows how to clean out the swamp like President Trump.”

Greene echoes one of the primary arguments for re-electing Trump: he is more effectively anti-establishment than any of his competitors. However, Trump’s critics have argued that his time in the Oval Office tells a different story.

Since Trump has been primarily focused on DeSantis, this is one of the first shots from Trump’s camp at Haley’s. According to Fox News, the former President said, “the more, the merrier,” when she announced, only nicking her for allegedly going back on her word.

“I’m glad she’s running,” Trump told FOX News Digital. “I want her to follow her heart — even though she committed that she would never run against who she called the greatest president of her lifetime.”

Vivek Ramaswamy, entrepreneur and another republican presidential hopeful, was not mentioned at the rally.

Trump also took the opportunity to lament his targeting by New York DA Alving Bragg over alleged hush money to Stormy Daniels. Trump was not arrested on Tuesday as predicted, but the Grand Jury considering his indictment is still in session.
