Parents across the country are livid after a video surfaced online of a teacher threatening her students for simply showing disapproval of the LGBTQ+ agenda.
The incident in question comes from a math class at Edison High School in Huntington Beach, California, and shows a teacher playing a routine episode of Bolt TV, which is the school’s student-produced and administration-approved channel. The episode in the video was promoting LGBTQ+ Pride.
However, things took a turn when many of the students in the classroom booed at the broadcast, with some students asking the teacher to shut off the episode, and others making vomit noises to indicate their disgust. One student asked ‘Why are you showing this to kids?’
Near the end of the video, the math teacher can be heard yelling over the students and making a threat that if they continued their protest against the video that they would be subject to Saturday school.

Less than two days after the video was posted to Twitter, it amassed over 9 million views.
R-let Vaz, the mom of the girl who originally took the video and posted it to her Facebook, gave more context about the fear her daughter faced just by taking and having the video.
[My daughter] came to me last night and said she was scared she did the wrong thing by taking the video. That right there is the innocence of youth and how easily they can be made to feel bad.
The video caused many parents to feel anger and disgust towards this teacher and her actions, with one user writing:
The teacher is grooming the kids and shows a love scene in a movie at school and then threatens the kids with Saturday school for using their constitutional protected speech to object.
Another parent wrote the following:
This is despicable!! This is NOT what our tax dollars were intended to pay for in schools!! This is 100% indoctrination!! Shame on that teacher!! These kids are the hero’s speaking up for themselves!! How dare that teacher to threaten to punish them!! Somebody tell us what can be done legally to STOP this insanity that’s preying on ALL students of ALL ages!! Enough is Enough!! My own kids are all grown, but my heart breaks for All kids in school! And I want to do something to stop this!!
Robby Starbuck, the user who reposted the video onto Twitter, said this in the replies of his own Tweet:
Some 10th grade students came forward to tell me that this video was played in ALL classes that day, not just math class. They’re upset about it and want the school to refrain from playing videos like this.

In Starbuck’s tweet, many parents reacted with horror and shock, with one user detailing their experience with kids and ‘Pride.’
Most kids really have no interest in “pride” and they don’t buy into gender ideology.

It is unclear if Edison High School made a statement denouncing their actions or addressing the controversy surrounding their school.
