Palm Beach County Republican Chair Mike Barnett Wins Reelection
In a contentious meeting lasting past midnight, Michael Barnett beat back several challengers and factions and was reelected Chair of the Republican Executive Committee. Barnett won on the first ballot, 138 votes were needed for a majority. Barnett received 154 votes. Newcomer Wayne Posner 40, Candace Rojas, 30, and Kevin Neal, 50.
Neal went on to beat Tami Donnelly for Vice-chair 131-105. Current Treasurer Jane Pike beat Steve Byers 135-52. Cheryl Mullings beat back two candidates for Secretary garnering 143 votes.

The Republican Executive Committee members reaffirmed their faith in me last night. For that, I am forever grateful and determined to work harder than ever for 2024. Congratulations to our new vice chair Kevin Neal. I’m thrilled that Cheryl Mullings and Jane Pike were also re-elected to the board with overwhelming support. Thank you to Tami Donnally for eight years of solid leadership and loyalty to me personally and to our party. We owe her an incredible debt for her self-sacrifice. ~Michael Barnett
Late last night Joe Budd, the Republican State Committeeman for Palm Beach County, offered Barnett his congratulations on Facebook.
