Musk Questions Interracial Crime Coverage by Media, Triggers Liberals
Tech magnate Elon Musk received significant pushback from liberals on Twitter this week, including progressive Representative Alexandria Occasio Cortez, D-Ny., after he asked a controversial question on Twitter.
The dispute started after a prominent conservative Twitter user posted a chart that featured interracial crime rates, with the caption ‘Perspective is everything.’

Elon Musk replied to the user, wondering aloud why the media misrepresents the issue of interracial crime. “Odd, why would the media misrepresent the real situation to such an extreme degree?”

One conservative Twitter user said that the media’s narrative on crime is meant to ‘divide’ Americans who would otherwise be colorblind.
Agenda. They can’t allow America to be only one race despite much of the other countries being this way. It’s a divide and conquer strategy. However, Americans overcome and adapt. We don’t care about race. We care about character.

Many prominent liberals accused Musk of being racist without engaging further on the matter.
Rather than disputing the information in the chart or attempting to contextualize it, liberal journalist Aaron Rupar accused Musk of ‘posting crude racism.’

AOC, who has been a prominent critic of the power of large corporations, openly expressed her desire for Musk and Twitter to be financially ruined for allowing questions such as Musk’s to be asked on Twitter.
“At this rate he’s gonna be begging for MyPillow ad buys in no time” She said.

Earlier this week, Musk engaged with Twitter users on another crime-related issue.
He commented on high-crime rates and urban decay in San Francisco and said the city feels ‘post-apocalyptic.’
“So many stores shuttered in downtown SF. Feels post-apocalyptic,” Musk tweeted.

Responding to another user who mentioned that Musk voted for Democrats in recent Presidential elections, Musk said there is a pattern of urban decay and high crime rates in cities under Democrat one-party rule, such as New York and Philadelphia.
Yes, but they are not to blame for San Francisco. Fundamentally, states and cities must occasionally vote for the other party or you have a one party system.
SF is what happens when one party has control for several decades – no feedback loop for correction, because they never…

He concluded by issuing a dire warning to his followers, saying that policies championed by Democrats in big cities would lead to the ‘end of civilization’ if they were ‘extended to the world.’
“The philosophy that led to this bleak outcome will be the end of civilization if extended to the world,” Musk said.

Some experts agreed with Musk, taking it a step further and saying that the crime issue in big cities such as San Francisco is likely even worse than people think due to underreporting.
“Crime is worse than the data shows,” Said Charles Stimson, a researcher at the Heritage Foundation. “People do not report these crimes because when you have a DA who’s pro-criminal and not going to enforce the law, the cops aren’t going to go out and arrest somebody when they know the case is going to be no papered.”
Stimson referenced a policy by soft-on-crime San Francisco District Attorney George Gascon, who stopped prosecuting retail theft under $1,000.
“You’ve seen the videos of people just engaging in the five-finger discount, walking into Target, walking into Nordstrom Rack … and just walking out during daylight with $950 worth of stuff,” Stimson said. “They refused to prosecute any of that.”
