The race for the Chair of The Republican Party of Palm Beach County is getting crowded. However, endorsements from prominent community leaders still matter, and former Vice-Chair of the Party, and candidate for Chair, Tami Donnally, recently landed an important one.
Jorge Garrido is a leader in the Hispanic community and Chair of The Hispanic Vote, a non-partisan organization dedicated to empowering and informing Hispanic Voters. Don’t expect the Democrat-lite version of identity politics some Republicans in the county are pushing from Garrido. Garrido doesn’t play that game.

Garrido is an unapologetic American patriot who believes in putting America first and, like most Americans of Hispanic descent, does not support illegal immigration.

Donnally is the CFO/Executive Director of Legacy Church Ministries/Greenacres Christian Academy and has been a member of the Republican Executive Committee since 2009.
Donnally was Vice-chair of the Republican Party of Palm Beach County from 2014-2022, oversaw the creation and staffing of the REC’s Regional Director Program, was the First female President of Central Palm Beach County Republican Club from -2010 to 2015, worked on numerous campaigns and has a resume too long to reproduce in this post.
Garrido, who is not speaking as the chair of The Hispanic Vote but as a patriotic American, had this to say about Tami Donnally.
Tami Donnally stands out as a leader who is truly committed to bringing the conservative message and Republican values to the Hispanics in Palm Beach County. She has selflessly mentored members of our community and has reached out to others, like me and other members of The Hispanic Vote, to provide us with the opportunity to participate in local politics. There’s no question Donnally is the most experienced candidate of all the candidates running, and it’s impressive that Garrido has endorsed her. Not all leaders of Hispanic organizations are faithful to a set of America First set principles, and not many leaders of the Republican Party, who aren’t Hispanic, spend as much time as they should reaching out to different communities.
Garrido and Donnally reach out to diverse communities by pitching conservative ideals and principles, which unite us, not divide us.
According to Garrido, Donnally hasn’t just talked the talk; she’s walked the walk.
