Canadian BLM President Charged With Anti-Catholic Hate Crime

The president of a Canadian Black Lives Matter chapter has been charged with a hate crime over an alleged incident that occurred at a Catholic school in Calgary, Alberta.

Adora Nwofor, 47, has been charged with criminal mischief for allegedly ‘willfully obstructing and interfering’ with the use of property ‘primarily used for religious worship and educational purposes,’ according to the Calgary Herald.

The Calgary Herald adds on that Nwofor is being accused of interfering with people trying to gain access to St. Thomas Aquinas School on May 26 due to a ‘bias, prejudice, or hate based on race or ethnic origin,’ which can be classified as a hate crime.

Nwofor was formally charged on June 2 and has been banned from being within 100 meters of the school. She has since been released on no-cash bail and has been ordered by a judge not to speak with people at St. Thomas Aquinas School as a condition of release, according to the outlet.

The defense lawyer in Nwofor’s case, Chad Haggerty, also happens to be representing Taylor McNallie, a BLM activist that is being accused of assaulting an off-duty sheriff on the steps of the Calgary Courts Centre during a protest on April 12th, 2021.

According to McNallie’s testimony, the police officer took her phone and she ‘accidentally’ struck the officer with the megaphone after McNallie went to retrieve it.

In addition to the assault charge, McNallie is involved in a separate criminal case where she was accused of pouring water on a photographer and breaking his eyeglasses, according to the Calgary Herald.

McNallie is expected to receive a verdict in court for her charges on Thursday while Nwofor’s case is expected to continue on Friday.

The Black Lives Matter organization has always been under controversy, with the co-founder of BLM, Patrisse Cullors, who has been reported in the past as calling herself a ‘trained Marxist,’ stepped down from her executive director role of the organization after it was revealed that she spent $3.2 million on four homes, three in nice neighborhoods in Los Angeles, and one house in Georgia.

It was also revealed that an LA jail reform group funded by Cullors spent $26,000 for ‘meetings’ at a Malibu resort, as well as $238,000 to a company run by her child’s ‘baby daddy.’

The disgraced co-founder also recently lost a contract with Warner Bros Television Group after failing to provide content as agreed upon under her contract.

Reactions from social media were varied, with some saying that this was expected, with others claiming that there is more to the story.

Another user decided to chime in about the supporters of BLM making false accusations about this incident somehow being tied to white supremacy.

It is unclear what Nwofor will use as a defense against her allegations. it is also unclear if the BLM organization will denounce this behavior or make a statement saying this behavior will not happen or be tolerated.
