The Broward Principals Association is suing Broward Teachers Union Boss Anna Fusco for refusing to produce emails, texts, and other communications considered public records between her and the Superintendent and others within Broward Schools.
The Broward Principals Association is looking to obtain these communications as part of an investigation into certain teachers union misconduct.

The suit comes while multiple teachers, who are members of this union, were charged with inappropriate sexual behavior with their students. According to independent journalist Chris Nelson, Fusco spoke on one of the teachers’ behalf in front of the school board.

As the Broward Principals Association is moving to investigate any misconduct by the teachers union, Fusco has refused to turn over communications, despite being public records.

“To remedy these illicit acts by the School District, the Plaintiff was forced to file this lawsuit to obtain these public records for which every citizen is entitled to have in accordance with the constitutionally guaranteed rights of Florida’s Public Records Act”
The Plaintiff requested its request be accelerated and even moved for the court to take measures to prevent any destruction of evidence.
In particular, Plaintiff is requesting Anna Fusco’s recent general phone records, all texts with various school district officials, multiple documents regarding increases in her pay and payments made on her behalf, and any and all emails between Fusco and various school district officials.
