Boca Raton: Florida’s Pizza Capital Emerges

When you think of the culinary delights that Florida has to offer, pizza may not be the first thing that comes to mind. However, if you find yourself in Boca Raton, you’re in for a delightful surprise. This picturesque city is fast earning a reputation as the Pizza Capital of the Sunshine State, and the proof is in the pie.

  1. Tucci’s Pizza Boca Raton – The Wood-Fired Wonder

Tucci’s Pizza in Boca Raton is a name that’s already etched into the annals of great pizzerias, not just in Florida but in the entire country. Their wood-fired pizza is nothing short of a work of art. With every bite, you’re transported to the rustic pizzerias of Italy, where simplicity is king. The carefully crafted pies at Tucci’s speak of a tradition that is truly hard to find elsewhere. Tucci’s recently opened up a new location on Yamato Road near US-1. It is well worth the visit. 1. Nino’s Pizza Boca Raton – A Slice of Sicily

If you’re craving a taste of thick crust, Nino’s Pizza in Boca Raton is where you need to be. Their Sicilian-style pizzas are nothing short of a culinary masterpiece. The rich, fluffy crust is the perfect canvas for the vibrant and bold flavors that are piled on top. This is comfort food at its very best. They also have a secret pie on the menu that the owner will make randomly called a “nonnas pie.” Nino’s of Boca

Aunt Lulu’s Boca Raton – An Upside-Down Delight

For a twist on tradition, Aunt Lulu’s Boca Raton offers a pizza that’s a tribute to the iconic Brooklyn style (think Spumoni Gardens). What sets it apart is that the sliced cheese is expertly tucked underneath the sauce. This unique approach creates a delightful interplay of flavors and textures that make each slice an unforgettable experience. It’s a slice of nostalgia with a contemporary twist that’s sure to leave a lasting impression. Don’t judge them but their outdated website

  1. Augy’s Pizza – Detroit Style, Reimagined

Augy’s Pizza, set to reopen soon after a complete renovation, is all about Detroit-style pizza in our eyes. Although their regular pie is quite good we are all about the square, deep-dish wonders that come out of their ovens are a tribute to this unique style. With a caramelized cheese crust and toppings galore, it’s a pizza experience that’s indulgent and satisfying. We expect to see them open in 3-6 months again. *no website

  1. Le Sorelle Boca Raton – The Art of Neapolitan Pizza

Le Sorelle in Boca Raton has mastered the art of Neapolitan-style pizza. The simplicity of these pies belies the complexity of the flavor they deliver. The perfectly charred crust, simple tomato sauce, fresh mozzarella, and basil come together in a symphony of taste. It’s a slice of Naples right here in Florida. Do not judge them by their ugly-looking website either.

Mister 01 in Boca Raton is all about bar-style pizza. It’s a pizza that’s built for indulgence, where the toppings stretch from edge to edge. The creative combinations and the incredible crunch of the crust make it a must-visit for pizza enthusiasts. This has quickly become one of my favorite spots in Boca Raton.

Cilluffo’s in Boca Raton specializes in thin-crust pizza. The delicate, crispy crust serves as the perfect foundation for their mouthwatering toppings. It’s a style that showcases the purity of each ingredient. Another awful website.  Cilluffo’s Pizza & Pasta

Sometimes, simplicity is the ultimate sophistication, and that’s exactly what you’ll find at Pizza Time in Boca Raton. Their Margherita pizza is a work of art. It’s a masterclass in letting the quality of the ingredients shine through. The vibrant tomatoes, creamy mozzarella, and fragrant basil are a testament to the beauty of simplicity.
