Biden Admits ‘Jobs Created’ Recovered Trump Jobs
President Joe Biden made a stunning admission Sunday by writing that his administration has created just 6 million jobs during his term—far fewer than the previously touted 16 million. The slip-up was a rare acknowledgment that the vast majority of jobs “created” by the Biden-Harris administration include those created under the Trump White House and temporarily lost during the COVID-19 lockdowns.
“So, do we think the intern who runs this account realizes they just ADMITTED that most all of the jobs they claim to have ‘created’ were returning TRUMP JOBS?” the Trump War Room account said on X.
A post from the official POTUS account claims, “Since [Biden] took office, we’ve recovered all the jobs lost during the pandemic. And added over 6 million more.”
It is a stark change in messaging from one month ago when Biden claimed in an official statement that since he and Vice President Kamala Harris took office, “our economy has created nearly 16 million jobs.”
“Joe Biden just admitted that Kamala Harris, and their entire administration, has been lying about ‘creating’ 16 million jobs,” the Trump Campaign said Monday. “The vast majority of those jobs were not ‘created,’ but are bounce-back jobs from COVID that were actually created by President Trump.”

Since Harris launched her campaign for President, the Biden-Harris administration has frequently misrepresented its job record, publishing false information and embellishing its results. Just two weeks ago, the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) was forced to revise its statistics after its 2023 jobs report was found to have overestimated job creation by 30 percent.
The administration had initially reported that more than 2.9 million jobs were created from March 2023 to March 2024. The BLS’s revision last month found the total to, in fact, be more than 800,000 jobs fewer–the largest such revision in over 15 years.
“Just in time for Labor Day, Crooked Joe Biden is finally admitting the truth,” the Trump Campaign wrote.

With the correction, an estimated 5.5 million jobs were created under the Biden-Harris administration in its first 38 months, with the majority of employment growth driven by legal and illegal immigrants.
By comparison, the BLS estimates that the Trump administration created 6.6 million jobs within that timeframe, including over 400,000 manufacturing and 775,000 construction jobs. The Biden-Harris administration created just 184,000 manufacturing and 547,000 construction jobs.
Additionally, according to the bureau, more than 57 percent of the 21.8 million jobs lost during the pandemic were recovered while Trump was still in office. It would take Biden another 17 months to recover the remaining jobs lost.
“Harris and Biden deserve no credit for jobs that have been created – they paid Americans not to work for months and stifled economic growth,” Trump Deputy Director of Communications Dylan Johnson said in a statement.
“Biden and Kamala have lied about their jobs record for years — but now, even Biden can’t deny the truth: President Trump CRUSHES Crooked Joe and Kamala on jobs.”
