Trump Warns Election Integrity ‘Under Siege’; Biden to Veto Voter ID Bill
Presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump slammed the Biden administration Tuesday morning for rejecting the SAVE Act, calling the President an “incapacitated moron.” The White House signaled on Monday that it would “strongly oppose” the measure, which is expected to receive a vote in the Republican-led House as early as this week. The act would require proof of U.S. citizenship to vote in federal elections if passed. In a statement posted to Truth Social, Trump urged Republicans to pass the bill or “go home and cry yourself to sleep.”
“Non citizen Illegal Migrants are getting the right to vote, being pushed by crooked Democrat Politicians who are not being stopped by an equally dishonest Justice Department,” Trump wrote. “Our whole voting system is under siege.”
“The Dems can’t win on their policies, the only way they can win is to CHEAT. They do it at every level of government, and they do it well. That’s how they get an incapacitated moron like Joe Biden elected.”
In his statement, the former President called on Republican National Committee Michael Whatley, House Speaker Mike Johnson, and “all State and Local Republican politicians” to “get tough” on defending election integrity. He also called on attorneys Harmeet Dhillon and David Schoen to “go to court and get this stopped, NOW.”

The White House has formally announced that Biden will veto the Republican bill that seeks to prevent noncitizens from voting.
There is no hiding it now. Biden and the Democrats want illegal immigrants to vote in the election this November. Our elections are NOT safe from mass…

If passed, the SAVE Act would amend the National Voter Registration Act of 1993 to require proof of U.S. citizenship and block noncitizens from voting in federal elections. The bill became a target of the White House this week when it published a policy statement claiming it would “do nothing to safeguard our elections.”
“…it would make it much harder for all eligible Americans to register to vote and increase the risk that eligible voters are purged from voter rolls. The evidence is clear that the current laws to prevent noncitizen voting are working as intended — it is extraordinarily rare for noncitizens to break the law by voting in federal elections.”
While noncitizens are technically prohibited by law from voting in federal elections, some local municipalities, including Washington D.C., allow them to vote in local elections. The SAVE Act would push states to remove noncitizens from their voter rolls and add a layer of defense against illegal voting amid the ongoing border crisis.

“Federal law currently PROHIBITS states from verifying citizenship status during registration for federal elections,” the bill’s author Chip Roy (R-TX) said in a post to X on Monday. “The SAVE Act requires proof of citizenship to register and would remove noncitizens from voter rolls. What are Democrats fearful of? This is basic stuff, you would think …”
In his statement, Trump said the responsibility to secure U.S. elections would fall solely to Republicans amid corruption at the Justice Department.
“The Justice Department is CORRUPT and won’t do a thing to help. They have no shame! All I can say is that if I’m elected President, we will pursue Election Fraudsters at levels never seen before, and they will be sent to prison for long periods of time. We already know who you are. DON’T DO IT!”
