Supporters of former President Donald Trump are rallying in Miami Tuesday afternoon ahead of an unprecedented arraignment on 37 federal charges. Trump is due to appear in court at 3:00 ET, after being indicted by a grand jury for the mishandling of classified documents. He traveled from New Jersey to South Florida on Monday, where he has since been joined by droves of supporters in protest of the ‘weaponization’ of the Justice Department.
Peaceful demonstrations outside the courthouse have included chanting and flag-waving–with various protesters hoisting the American flag, MAGA flag, and even “anti-communist” flags. A colorful, patriotic pickup truck also made an appearance outside the courthouse. Its driver, a protester by the name of Wally, told Fox News Griff Jenkins that the indictment “sucks” and suggested that the government “lock up the people on my trailer, not Mr. Trump.”
The people on the trailer, who were depicted behind prison bars, included President Biden, Vice President Harris, Bill and Hillary Clinton, in addition to Sen. Chuck Schumer and Rep. Adam Schiff who were illustrated in orange prison jumpsuits.
Protesters were at one point briefly cleared by police, however, after an alleged bomb threat. The purported “bomb” turned out to be a flat-screen TV attached to a pole outside the courthouse, along with a note reading “the Communist controlled news media.”

As the crowd of Trump supporters grows outside the courthouse, so does the presence of news media and anti-Trump activists, who at several points were heard chanting “No one is above the law,” “Lock Him Up,” and “Trump is Toast.” Police have reportedly assured the public that they are prepared to handle as many as 50,000 demonstrators as the arraignment approaches, though it is currently unclear how many will actually show up.
Some commentators, however, have criticized the lack of barricades and security in the area, including Human Events senior editor Jack Posobiec, who called it a “F–KING DISGRACE” on Twitter.
Miami Mayor Francis Suarez was also heckled by protesters outside of the courtroom, who referred to him as a “swamp monster” and part of the “deep state,” according to a report by Fox News. The Republican mayor is expected to speak in California on Thursday about a possible presidential campaign.

Just hours ahead of the arraignment, Trump took to Truth Social to call out America’s two-tiered justice system, rattling off a list of crimes committed by President Joe Biden and 2016 candidate Hillary Clinton, which the Justice Department has not prosecuted.
“Will Deranged [Special Counsel] Jack Smith be looking at the thousands of pages of documents that Biden had in Chinatown then, when caught, quickly sent up to Boston?” Trump wrote on Truth Social Tuesday. “What about the 1,850 Boxes that Biden is fighting to keep secret. How about Hillary’s 33,000 emails that she deleted and acid washed? Will he be looking at the $5,000,000 bribe that was paid to Biden but that the Justice Department is trying to hide? Much more coming on that! We are living in a Third World Country. No Borders, Rigged Elections!”
