Trump Blasts Biden’s ‘Meaningless’ Executive Action on Border
Presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump says Joe Biden’s recent executive action on the southern border is a “meaningless” public relations stunt, with the Democrat President showing his desperation ahead of November’s election.
On Tuesday, the 81-year-old Biden issued an executive order ‘limiting’ border crossings to 2,500 a day. With the laundry list of exceptions written into the order, however, experts estimate the current rules could still allow for upwards of 2 million illegal crossings–in addition to the estimated 10 million who have already crossed the border under the Biden administration.
In a Tuesday interview with Newsmax host Greg Kelly, Trump called Biden’s executive action a “nothing” job.
“First of all, it’s a nothing that he did, allowing massive numbers of people still to come in. And it’s just misinformation, disinformation, and just another hit job,” Trump told Kelly.

President Trump just correctly called out Joe Biden’s Executive Order that he just signed about the border.
It does nothing to deport the 10 million illegals Biden already let in and allows almost 1 million illegals to enter per year.

“And frankly, this should have been done three and a half years ago, but something meaningful like the one that Congress passed or we wanted Congress to pass, which was basically my things, having to do with the stay in Mexico, called Remain in Mexico, and catch-and-release in Mexico, not in the United States,” Trump told Kelly. “No, this is a public relations executive order, and it’s meaningless, meaningless.”
Biden faces worsening odds as election day draws closer. His job approval rating remains underwater by double digits, while most polling data shows a slight advantage for Trump.
A February report by Pew Research estimated that over 80 percent of Americans disapproved of the White House’s handling of the border, with 45 percent defining it as a “crisis” situation and 32 percent calling it a “major problem.” Just since that report, an additional 360,000 encounters have been reported along the southern border, according to U.S. Customs and Border Patrol data.
“He could stop the millions of people coming into our country with one order and one signature. It’s all there for him. I did it,” Trump said. “We had the safest border in history, and now we have the worst border of any country in the history of the world. It’s a terrible, terrible thing that’s happened to our country.”

On his FIRST day in office, Biden signed an executive order to defund the wall and to terminate the border emergency.
He also froze deportations that day, then eliminated the Remain In Mexico policy.

The former President added that many of the migrants crossing the border are “coming in from prisons and jails” before going on to commit further crimes in the United States. “They’re coming in from mental institutions and, above that, insane asylums, and you have a lot of terrorists coming into our country, and it’s a terrible thing that he’s doing,” he told Kelly.
Trump won in 2016 in large part for his promises to secure the southern border, which he argued had been thrown open by the Obama administration. Many of those same criticisms are now being directed at the Biden administration, which has overseen record-breaking surges of illegal immigration.
Despite issuing this latest executive action, Biden reportedly has no intention of visiting the southern border. The President is traveling in Europe, where his expected to meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
“He’s poisoning our country,” Trump said.
