Trans Fighter Accepts Offer to Fight Male MMA Champ – ‘This Thing Thinks It Can Beat Me’

Transgender high school wrestling champion Mack Beggs has accepted a challenge to take on former UFC fighter Jake Shields, writing in a now-deleted Instagram post, “I’m specifically going to $@#% you up Jake Shields.” Shields, a five-time world champion, has been outspoken about the rise of transgenderism and last month challenged the “10 toughest trans men in the world to a fight.”

“Since trans men are real men I would like to challenge the 10 toughest trans men in the world to a fight,” Shields said before adding that he would be willing to fight “them with no training and no rest between each fight.”

After several hours without any challenges, Shields added a follow-up Tweet saying, “My offer has been updated.”

“I will fight Mike Jackson and 10 trans men This is a serious offer so get your team ready… A million views and not a single trans Man has stepped up to accept my challenge I’m starting to think they don’t have the balls to fight me.”

A few weeks later, Shields finally found his challenger– two-time high school wrestling champion Mack Beggs, a 20-year-old trans-identifying biological woman. Beggs first made headlines in 2017 for winning the girls’ division Texas state championship while taking testosterone to transition.

“We are just going to make this an official call out, but Jake Shields I will take you up on your offer,” Beggs said, before accusing Shields of having a “fetish with trans women” and declaring “we [are] going to f–k you up.”

“You’re going to do it right. If you’re going to call yourself a fighter do it f–king right. Like, that’s just f–king disrespectful. It’s disrespectful to the sport of MMA for you to just be like ‘oh yeah let me just call out 10 trans men and I’ll f–king whoop them. It’s the fact that y’all are so fixated and hyper-fixated and have some f–king fetish with trans women that you even forget that we f–king out here and we going to f–k you up.”

“My offer is legit so have they/them contact me and they can start putting their team together,” Shields responded on Twitter. “Bud Light just contacted me and offered to sponsor all the trans athletes,” he joked, taking a crack at the woke beer brand and their partnership with trans influencer Dylan Mulvaney.

“This thing thinks it can beat me in a fight,” Shields added, posting a picture of Beggs.

So far, the pair have not set a date for when they plan to fight in the arena. Since issuing his challenge over Twitter, LGTBQ activists have reportedly tried to have Shields fired, according to a tweet from the fighter on Monday,

“The pronoun people are sending emails trying to get me fired… Unfortunately for these dorks I own most of my own sh-t and the people I work with think they are weirdos too.”
