Leon County GOP Chair Evan Powers busts Nikki Fried
The Jack Report
Nikki Fried’s incoherent Twitter feed is a source of amusement to many, but Fried constantly violates election law on Twitter. Yesterday, someone called her on it.
Fried is Florida’s Commissioner of Agriculture who’s running for Governor in the Democratic Primary, and, as she never tires of tweeting, the only Democrat to win statewide in 2018.
Leon County GOP Chair Evan Power tweeted:
Why is this on an official state website @NikkiFried? pic.twitter.com/ZqLYqEeaDc

Power is correct. Partisan political messages seeking to influence voters are not allowed on official government accounts of any kind.
104.31 Political activities of state, county, and municipal officers and employees.—
(1) No officer or employee of the state, or of any county or municipality thereof, except as hereinafter exempted from provisions hereof, shall:
(a) Use his or her official authority or influence for the purpose of interfering with an election or a nomination of office or coercing or influencing another person’s vote or affecting the result thereof.

This tweet is not a one-time slipup, either. Fried uses her official government account to tweet partisan messages all the time. Her government Account is @NikkiFriedFL, and it’s supposed to be delivering messages from the Florida Agricultural Commissioner. @NikkiFried is her personal Twitter account.
The Governor’s election police is political theater at best, and a deliberate barrier to voting + a huge waste of millions of taxpayer dollars at worst. Floridians deserve fair and free elections. https://t.co/V0whnzWCAP

The Governor’s vile attempt to erase our country’s history, silence businesses and schools, and whitewash history is hateful and irresponsible. Our state’s young people have a right to learn our complete and uncensored history.
Leave the teaching to teachers. https://t.co/e2hIDzX58T

Disappointed but not surprised at the outcome of this Special Session. I am grateful for Democrats in the Florida Legislature that continue to fight for millions of Floridians every day no matter how difficult it can get.

Thank you to all the Democratic legislators who are fighting DeSantis’s unconstitutional congressional maps. I will always stand with you and lift up your voices. https://t.co/yaR2nVCNfJ

There is overwhelming medical consensus that gender affirming care is effective and safe. This guidance is anti-science, discriminatory, and will hurt children. I encourage providers to ignore this bad and non-binding guidance and continue to give trans kids the care they need. https://t.co/hgiSspCgLm

Our corrupt corporate progressive media and Democrat Party are partners, so don’t expect any help from the media.
As they’ve been doing all over the country, people have to step up to hold our leaders accountable.
Florida Division of Elections complaint form:
Charlie Crist’s Deplorable moment
Crist, the former Republican Florida Governor, former wannabe Florida Senator, current nobody Democratic congressman, and another Democratic contender for governor, had a Hillary level Deplorable moment the other day when he called DeSantis voters “toothless.”
The spin Chuck’s people tried to put on it afterward was absurd and as incoherent as Fried’s Twitter feed.
But Crist is a lucky guy. Elon Musk buying Twitter buried almost every other news story in the last 72 hours, so the “toothless” diss bears repeating.
Sen. Annette Taddeo
Who?
This is Taddeo’s Senate page.
Governor DeSantis leaves more in tips than Taddeo has raised.
