Joe Budd and Andy Thomson: Honor and Dishonor

The Florida Democratic Party and Andy Thomson have been relentlessly attacking Republican Peggy Gosset-Seidman, a candidate for Fl. House District 91, with deceitful mailer after deceitful mailer. On top of that, their data selection is so stupid it’s almost beyond belief.

My household is full of Republican Super Voters. We vote in every election, large and small, in good times and bad; we’re the “Republican party faithful.” Andy Thomson and The Florida Democratic Party thought it was a good idea to bombard my house with negative crap mail about a woman I like and respect, Peggy Gosset-Seidman.

That wasn’t a great decision on their part.

The attack mailers hitting Seidman are particularly annoying because they’re fraudulent. The mailers attack voters. Yes, voters.

Seidman has a moderate pro-life position.

Abortion: Gossett-Seidman opposes a ban on all abortions, with no exceptions, as well as a ban on abortion once a heartbeat is detected.

~Palm Beach Post

This is what Thomson and the Democrats are sending out

Peggy Gossett-Seidman will be a rubber stamp on a statewide Abortion ban.

She is backed by extremists who want to ban all abortions, with no exception for rape, incest, or when the mother’s life is in danger.

If a voter looks at the mailer fast, they’ll think it’s Seidman with that position when it isn’t. That is sneaky and weaselly because they know that’s not her position, but it’s worse than that. They’re attacking the Republican and Independent voters in Fl. House District 91, mostly in Boca Raton.

I need to ask this question of Thomson and his supporters-who are you calling “extremists?” My wife, my son, my neighbors, or the people who voted to put you on the Boca Raton City Council? Is this the Hillary “Deplorable” campaign? Step up, and tell us exactly what extremists you’re talking about. Give us the names.

Will you send Merrick Garland and the DOJ to try and lock up all of us “extremists?”

This is hate mail. They’re not saying bad things about Seidman, they’re attacking a large group of people they don’t know because they might vote for or back Seidman.

That’s teaching hate, and it’s a disgusting display from desperate politicians trying to escape the red wave they know is coming.

At the end of this post, I’ll embed more of Thomson’s sleazy mailers. Remember, Thomson had to approve all these mailers, but first, have a good laugh and see what this used car salesman of a politician has to say about himself.

The guy who has bombarded my home with hate mail has the nerve to say we need to spend less time attacking each other.

The Republican Party of Florida released a TV spot, approved by Siedman, attacking Thomson, not the voters.

It’s a great spot, and every word is true.

Stay tuned, I’m going to have a lot more to say about this race in the days to come.

Full disclosure: I’ve endorsed and donated money to the Seidman campaign. I’ve also known Thomson for years, and he’s been at my home for at least one holiday dinner that I can remember.

Joe Budd

Joe Budd, the Republican candidate for FL CD-23, had a solid interview with WPLG Local 10 News, which given the hostility shown by one interviewer, old man Putney, was an accomplishment.

Michael Putney started by saying Jared Moskowitz, Budd’s Democratic opponent, won’t debate him because Budd is a Qanon “election denier,” and he gives Budd a “chance” to respond by saying, “are you?” Budd answered, “the election was not stolen” and that he doesn’t support any conspiracy theory.

Fine, a perfect answer, even though Putney shouldn’t have asked the question.

You’ll notice that almost every legacy media outlet asks that question to try and discredit the Republican candidate. With only eight minutes, Budd was right to move on and attack Moskowitz.

I wanted to ask Putney if he thought President Biden had Dementia or if he was a “Dementia Denier.” but Budd handled it correctly.

Budd was right on every issue he discussed, but the interviewers, including the smiling Glenna Milberg, were nothing more than stand-ins for Moskowitz.

Michael Putney could be Biden’s older brother. He’s old as dirt, and it shows. The guy is 81 years old now, and 82 is coming up fast. I mention his age because I laughed my butt off watching his scowling grumpy old man face in the bottom left of the video whenever Budd was speaking.

Budd’s a hard-working candidate in a tough race, and he might want to smile more when he’s on TV, but he has a shot at this seat.

My home is in CD-23, and the entire Furnari family voted for Budd, and you should, too.
