7 ELF Palm Beach County Tips of the Exquisite
I want to share with our readers the beautiful, bad and breathtaking of Palm Beach County. It’s starting to feel like Florida is becoming the heart of our country. With the mass exodus of so many people from other states, we want to show the world that we have the fine dining of California, the shopping of New York City, and the freedom of Texas. We will comb the county for special treats and items that will make your heart sing.
Lily’s Ice Cream Shop
A local treasure, family-owned Lily’s Ice Cream Shop is the best ice cream in the area. Located on Linton and Military (next door to Poppie’s Deli), it’s a great place to stock up on the creamiest, freshest ice cream I’ve ever tasted. There are pints made up to go, or you can get cones, milkshakes, and floats in the shop.
The Hive
Nothing suits our South Florida lifestyle more than a gorgeous blue and white color scheme in our homes. This is a vignette at The Hive in West Palm Beach. It even has a doggie bed to match.
Brooks Brothers
Brooks Brothers is the OG of preppy, classic clothes, and I’m a huge fan. But their new mascot Henry the sheep, stinks! They are trying to create a character similar to Ralph Lauren’s bear. Compare the two; the RL bear is adorable and graphically pleasing, while BB’s sheep is just creepy.

Cassiopea Perfume
With the thousands of perfumes on the market, it’s unusual for me to be impressed with a new one. But Cassiopea from Tiziana Terenzi is an Italian stunner. A sweet, white floral scent that stays elegant even with its passionfruit notes. It’s a gourmand fragrance, yet the Sandalwood and Musk keep it from being too vanilla cookie. Think Sophia Loren surrounded by lemon trees and roses and drinking a Vanilla martini.
Sara Lee Frozen Brownies
I loved Sara Lee Frozen Brownies, which have been discontinued for decades. It pains me to admit it, but I wouldn’t eat all day in college and have SL Brownies and vanilla ice cream for dinner. Last week, I discovered at Publix Martha Stewart Brownies in the freezer aisle. These are the closest thing I’ve had in the previous 40 years to those original beloved Sara Lee Brownies, extremely guest worthy!
Auntie Poldi
This series Auntie Poldi by Mario Giordano is a perfect and spicy summer reading escape for all cozy mystery fans. Four books whose protagonist, a German widow of a Sicilian Husband who solves murders in her Sicilian village, is a Miss Marple in Leopard Dolce & Gabbana, who drinks too much, has a mysterious past, and can’t seem to stay out of trouble.
Such fun!
Fauchon
In these strange times, tea is an affordable indulgence. I discovered this tea ensemble at Neiman Marcus in the gourmet food section. From Fauchon Paris, which has been blending tea since 1886, this has six varieties and 36 sachets, from Green tea to Earl Grey. The Sorbet Citron & Menthe Verte is the best herbal tea I’ve ever tried. Most herbal teas can taste like hay, but this one is magnifique! The only problem is that Fauchon doesn’t ship directly from France.
