Riley Gaines, who recently made headlines for being attacked by trans activists at an American university, slammed former soccer player Megan Rapinoe over her defense of biological men in women’s sports.
“It’s worth noting that 1) you’re done with your athletic career and 2) because you aren’t sexually attracted to men, it’s unlikely you will ever have a daughter to defend. To me, this looks like a classic case of virtue signaling because you have nothing to personally lose.”
The conservative commentator and recent partisan assault victim added to her comment, “I can respect opinions that differ from my own, and everyone is entitled to think/speak independently, but I can’t help but think Megan Rapinoe would genuinely shiv any male who tried to take her spot on the US Women’s National Team.”

Ms. Rapinoe, famous during the Trump era for her relentless anti-Trump posturing, said, “Women’s sports need protection from unequal pay, sexual abuse & lack of resources, NOT from trans kids.”
Rapinoe immediately received heavy criticism from both the left and right, with many feminists criticizing Rapinoe’s openness toward it and not having to suffer the consequences of saying that, considering the soccer star’s soon-to-be retirement.

The soccer player has never played with or competed against biological men in her many career games. The controversy comes amidst a spike in men outperforming women in various athletic competitions – from weightlifting to cycling to swimming and soccer.
Another Twitter user pointed out Megan Rapinoe’s radical left ideology, which the outspoken soccer player has been repeating to her fans since 2016.

Despite being violently attacked recently for her desire to keep women’s sports for biological women, Riley Gaines has continued her criticisms in the face of rabid and aggressive opposition.

Riley retweeted a follower’s criticisms, with the follower pointing out the hypocrisy of Rapinoe’s simultaneously feminist and pro-trans beliefs.
“Wait, so Megan Rapinoe @mPinoe has been crying for the past couple of years about how overlooked women’s soccer is, compared to men’s soccer. But… Now advocates for taking down Title IX so men can compete on women’s teams? Can someone explain it? Explain it like I’m five.”
Another commenter alleged that Rapinoe’s advocacy is in bad faith, especially considering she hasn’t competed against and doesn’t face the prospect of competing against any biological males for the remainder of her career.
“Simple. She lives in a bubble within a bubble and is willing to go along with whatever the latest narrative is to keep the $$$ rolling in. None of it has to be logical or be authentic, it’s just gotta check boxes. She doesn’t dwell in the real world with real people.”
