Megan Rapinoe Accuses Dave Chappelle of Inspiring ‘Violence’ Against Transgenders

U.S. women’s soccer player and radical leftist Megan Rapinoe is apparently only interested in “knock-knock” jokes; the activist slammed famous and controversial comedian Dave Chappelle over a series of jokes about the trans and LGBT community. The athlete would make a series of wild and baseless allegations, arguing that Chappelle’s tongue-in-cheek remarks catalyze violence and even discrimination in an interview with Time magazine.

“I don’t want to mince words about it. Dave Chappelle making jokes about trans people directly leads to violence, whether it’s verbal or otherwise, against trans people. When Martina or Sage or whoever are talking about this, people aren’t hearing it just in the context of elite sports. They’re saying, ‘The rest of my life, this is how I’m going to treat trans people.’” ~Megan Rapinoe to Time magazine.

Rapinoe would also claim she supports male-to-female transgenders participating in women’s sports, despite the fact her team – the national women’s soccer team – was crushed by 5-2 by an “under-15” years of age boys soccer team. “‘You’re taking a ‘real’ woman’s place,’ that’s the part of the argument that’s still extremely transphobic,” Rapinoe said. “I see trans women as real women. What you’re saying automatically in the argument—you’re sort of telling on yourself already.”

Chappelle is notorious for his raunchy, high-energy, and off-limits comedy that is indiscriminate in its teasing.

Below are clips illustrating the comedian’s style.

Despite this, Rapinoe and the LGBT community pushed relentlessly to have Chappelle’s content after he became the subject matter of some of his jokes.

Though pushing boundaries is the nature of Chappelle’s job, the comedian has repeatedly stated he harbored no hatred and was open to meeting with groups who disliked him, particularly following a trans-joke-induced Netflix scandal that almost saw his content removed from the streaming platform.

Chappelle has not yet commented on Rapinoe’s remarks.

Online observers have relentlessly mocked Rapinoe’s unfounded claims and bizarre comments. One user would say that “mocking bad ideas is good for society.”

“There’s a lot of stupid things I didn’t do growing up because I knew I’d be made fun of for it, and looking back I would’ve deserved it. Mocking bad ideas is good for society.” ~@DPGBehler on Twitter

Similarly, Babylon Bee CEO Seth Dillon would take a break from posting his usual news and satire to comment on Rapinoe and Chappelle, saying that taking leftist gender ideology seriously has resulted in child mutilation.

“Megan Rapinoe says making jokes about trans issues ‘leads to violence,’ but I’d argue that not making jokes has led to violence. The reason kids are being mutilated in the name of “gender-affirming care” is because we took bad ideas seriously.” ~Seth Dillon on Twitter

Others called attention to “actual” trans-related violence, specifically when a male-to-female transgender joined a women’s MMA league and notoriously broke the skulls of multiple opponents.
