Republican Iraq War Vet Jason Loring Announces School Board Run
Meet Jason Loring, the latest Republican running for a school board seat. This one is in Broward, District 3. Loring, a veteran, has already proven to be an excellent public servant. Loring was inspired to join the US Army and serve in Iraq after the tragic events of September 11th. His military service instilled a deep sense of discipline, dedication, and leadership that he’s now ready to bring to the school board. Loring fights political battles for the Republican Party as the President of Broward Log Cabin Republicans. He’s prepared to take his experience and fight against woke indoctrination to save our kids.

Loring has one opponent, Democrat Sarah Leonardi, who is the incumbent. He feels the time is right for a change in leadership and that change needs to be made by someone Republican. Because there are only two opponents in this race, whoever gets fifty-one percent of the votes in the August 20th primary wins the seat to be the next Broward County school board member.
Jason has a diverse background. He’s owned his own business and pursued trade work. Additionally, he volunteers for nonprofits and enjoys farming and gardening. From his website.
Upon returning from military service, Jason attended school and graduated from the Aveda Institute. He then went on to own and operate multiple successful salons for over a decade. Jason enjoyed helping his clients look and feel their best while honing his business management and customer service skills.
In addition to his work in the beauty industry, Jason pursued an education in trade skills. He graduated from carpentry coursework at Atlantic Technical College and electrical at McFatter Technical College.

Florida Jolt had these questions for Loring.
Why are you running for school board?
The school board needs more business minds and fewer teachers. As a veteran and an entrepreneur, I can make a difference with budgeting and safety.
What are the most important things you want to do as a school board member?
I want to improve the quality of education and have serious budget accountability. Additionally, I want school safety and to regain the trust of the parents, voters, and administrators.
How do you feel about the parental rights in education law, otherwise known by Dems as “don’t say gay?”
I fully supported this bill and still do so today. Parents’ rights should be the most important thing we think of. Just because they trust us to help doesn’t mean they gave us full control.
Do you have children? If yes, are they in school in the district? If not, does it matter for this position?
I do not have kids of my own. Still, I believe that how children are educated will affect every single one of us in the future and that there’s nothing more important than ensuring that the 260,000 plus kids and 30+ schools I will represent will have the best education, with children who being taught reading, writing, math, and not being indoctrinated with inappropriate ideology. As a veteran of the war in Iraq, I can promise you that I will do everything in my power to ensure that every child is safe and given the same opportunities to succeed as the next.
Loring also mentioned that he was asked in an interview, ” You’re the leader of a gay organization; why should we support you?”—his response.
I spent eight months in Iraq fighting for our freedom. I know what it’s like to fight for this country. I will stand in front of a bullet for your children, will you? He immediately said, “I will support you 100%.
Loring’s priority is to bring accountability and leadership to the school board, especially where he says current leadership has missed the mark, as well as fiscal responsibility and school safety. He plans to bring the district to an A rating.
Loring is a solid conservative with great integrity. Broward District 3 has a great choice on August 20th.
