Raccoon Riot: Tracy Caruso Tells All
Community Comes Together After Hurricane Milton
Palm Beach County got through Hurricane Milton, but some areas in Wellington and Palm Beach Gardens suffered tornado damage. Board members from The Hispanic Vote went to Wellington to help Councilwoman Maria Atuna with the damage. State Rep Mike Caruso went to Avenir in Palm Beach Gardens. Weather disasters are never a good thing, but seeing Floridians come together in times of need is inspiring.

Government Doesn’t Control the Weather
According to USA Today, Governor DeSantis shot down false conspiracy theories claiming hurricanes are the result of government control, as stated by conspiracy theorists. DeSantis had this to say about it.
If I could control the weather, I would do 78 degrees and sunny year-round. -Governor Ron DeSantis
Ramaswamy in Jupiter – Patriots Unite
Patriots Linda Stoch, Sid Dinerstein, Jay Goldfarb, Larry, and Sue Snowden, and many others created a groundswell of GOP enthusiasm for the upcoming election with a fabulous rally at the Jupiter Republican victory office. Congressman Brian Mast, State Representatives Mike Caruso, Toby Overdorf, John Snyder, and Senator Gayle Harrell gave inspiring speeches, with special guest Vivek “Rhymes with Cake” Ramaswamy. Also in attendance was the cutest little boy doing the Trump dance.
Better Off With Baby Fetterhoff
Congratulations to former state Representative Elizabeth Fetterhoff (R-Deltona) and her husband, John Ward, who recently discovered they’re having a baby. A baby onboard won’t stop this dynamo who plans to run for state Senate in 2026 when current State Senator Tom Wright terms out. In the meantime, it’s all about the baby. FYI, Tracy is a name that works for both boys and girls.
Two Million Dollar Sports Car Heads to Palm Beach
According to Palmer Palm Beach, a rare 2 million dollar Italian sports car, similar to one purchased by Michael Jordan, is on its way to Palm Beach to a prominent collector in time for the auto season. The limited edition auto is made by Pininfarina.
Rosie The Robot Dream Coming 2025
Elon Musk has a vision: a robot in every house. The NY Post reported that Tesla’s Optimus will be on the market by 2025 and can “do anything you want.” Other AI robotics experts say that’s an overly ambitious plan.
Musk says the robots can mow your lawn, clean the kitchen after dinner, babysit your kids, or be your friend. For 20 to 30K, they will cost less than the price of a car.
People Are Adorable Puppies for Elephants
I took an elephant ride to Bali with my husband several years ago. During the ride, I dropped my phone. The elephant picked it up with its trunk and “handed it to me.” Being the polite person that I am, I said, “Thank you.” It turns out that the elephant probably thought I was so cute that he wanted to help me. According to @uniquemind on Instagram, elephants see humans as nonthreatening, adorable creatures. They see us the way we see a cute puppy.

Learn a New Language by Using Subtitles
According to USA Today, more Americans, especially Gen Zers, watch movies and shows with subtitles. The reasons for doing so are not being able to understand certain accents, watching quietly without disturbing roommates, and some saying they use subtitles to learn Spanish or English. Gen Zers use subtitles the most, followed by millennials. Gen Xers and Boomers use them about the same amount.
Ladybugs Are Lovely
Fun fact to mention in a group when you have absolutely nothing else to talk about. A group of ladybugs is called a loveliness.
Feeding Animals Could Make Them Take Over
My dad told me not to feed the deer at our house because they would return with their friends and family. I thought this was ridiculous until I read both on the Instagram site @wealth and in the NY Post that a woman had to call 911 when over a hundred raccoons surrounded her home after she began feeding them.
Squats a Day Could Keep The Doctor Away
Dr. Nick Pappas, a board-certified surgeon in the New Orleans area, captioned in a ticktock video, “If there’s one exercise you should do consistently, it’s squats.” He says that after age 34, people tend to lose 1-2% of muscle mass per year. Preserving this muscle mass is critical, and squats work three of the largest muscle groups in the lower body. Squats also strengthen the core, burn calories, and improve posture and balance.
Disclaimer
My latest obsession is a new show called Disclaimer, with Care Blanchett, Sacha Baron Cohen, and Kevin Klein. The first two episodes are out on Apple TV. It’s a thriller, it’s amazing, and it’s not easy to figure out. The show is based on Renee Knight’s bestselling novel by the same name.
October Books I Can’t Get Enough Of
Certain authors write books that aren’t going to get Pulitzers any time soon but they’re fun to read, guilty pleasures. Author Freida McFadden is one of those authors. Her latest, The Boyfriend, is a thriller with a surprise twist, and it’s undoubtedly the hot book of October.
For Spooky Season, I’m currently reading We Used To Live Here by Marcus Kliewer, and what a creepy book this one is. A man knocks on the door of a house and tells the new owner that he and his family used to live there and that he’d like to show his family around. The woman lets them in for what’s supposed to be fifteen minutes, and the family never leaves. I’m a hundred pages in, and the impending doom will keep me reading.
Now, I’m wondering why anyone answers the door when I go door-knocking for campaigns. Only in Florida, friends. Only in Florida.
