When I started PBCJolt in February, I wasn’t sure how much I wanted to work and how much energy I had in me for a new venture.
The need for a media site that focused on people, events, and issues scorned by legacy media was evident to me, and I know a good amount about Palm Beach County politics, so PBCJolt it was.
However, at the same time, having learned never to say never, I bought the FloridaJolt.com web address in case I needed to expand coverage.
Most of Florida has the same problems with legacy media that Palm Beach County does, and it’s often difficult to write about Palm Beach County without covering the significant events and people in the state that affect our county.
Florida has the best governor in the country in Ron DeSantis. We’re a growing, vibrant state and a state critical to our country. Florida is the Free State, and for us to stay that way, those of us who can have to step up and do our part.
I will continue to focus on our county and provide the personal and accurate insider coverage readers have already come to expect from PBCJolt.
The real change is that FloridaJolt will be committed to assembling a team of talented writers and editors capable of producing the kind of journalism statewide Florida needs and
deserves.
