Mom Sues After School ‘Secretly’ Coaches Daughter to Transition Gender

California mother Aurora Regino is suing her local school board after they reportedly facilitated the “secret” gender transition of her 11-year-old daughter. The Chico Unified School District board has a policy of “parental secrecy,” where the school staff and teachers can encourage gender transitioning and transgenderism in young children without notifying or informing parents.

The school does not even hide its transition efforts at the child’s request – they do it regardless. Regino’s daughter told a school counselor that she wished to share the news of the transition with her mom. Despite this, the school board continued to encourage the gender transition of a child without letting the mother know.

The transition that was occurring is known as “social transition,” – where one begins to dress and act like a male, as well as use male pronouns, but does not (yet) take any hormones or undergo any surgeries.

Supporters of the school district say that social gender transition is harmless because of the lack of sterilizing medicine or surgeries.

A transgender activist called “Squeaky Saint Francis” spoke at the meeting shortly after the concerned mother and came out in support of hiding the social transitioning of elementary-school-age children from parents.

“If you take away this ability, this control, from these children to out themselves, you are forcefully putting them into a possibly violent household where their parents could kick them out… [or make children] consider suicide.”

Francis launched into a tangent about his identity, saying that elementary schools are among the few places where everyone can feel comfortable in their gender identity.

“I will speak loud for those who cannot speak. I’m a proud he, she, they, them, whatever. I am a boyfriend to a beautiful woman, I am a girlfriend to a handsome transman, and I am also a girlfriend to an incredibly beautiful woman.”

Mrs. Regino says that her recent breast cancer diagnosis led to her daughter seeking wellness treatment or therapy and that the school didn’t take this into account when affirming the 11-year-old’s “I feel like a boy” statement.

“The day my daughter shared with her guidance counselor that she felt like a boy, the counselor immediately affirmed this new identity. My daughter told the counselor she wanted to tell me about her new identity. The counselor ignored her request and did nothing to support her and letting me know what was going on at school.”

Regino said that she supports the affirmation of children’s possible gender identities but was concerned about the school removing her from the upbringing of her own daughter.

The lawsuit filed by Regino alleges that the school’s deceptive conduct – enabled by a 2013 California law – violated her right as a parent to raise her children.

The distraught mother told Fox News that her now middle-school-aged daughter is now in private therapy, but once again self-identifies as a girl.
