Hillary Calls to Jail Americans for ‘Misinformation’
Just two days after a crazed gunman attempted to kill former President Donald Trump at his West Palm golf resort, twice-defeated Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton appeared Monday on MSNBC to fuel further division. This time, the ex-Secretary of State sat down with host Rachel Maddow to share her thoughts on the 2024 election — which includes jailing Trump supporters for promoting “misinformation.”
“We know from what even Republicans have said, the chairs of the Intelligence Committee and the Foreign Affairs Committee and other Republicans who are currently in office have said that Republicans go to the floor of the Congress and they parrot Russian talking points,” Clinton alleged.
During her interview with Maddow, Clinton shifted between attacking Trump, Congressional Republicans, and GOP voters. She also attacked the former President as a “danger” to the country and called on the media to “create a consistent narrative about how dangerous Trump is.”
“So, I think it’s important to indict the Russians, just as Mueller indicted a lot of Russians who were engaged in direct election interference and boosting Trump back in 2016. But I also think there are Americans who are engaged in this kind of propaganda,” Clinton said, before suggesting they be arrested as a form of ‘deterrence.’And whether they should be civilly or even in some cases criminally charged is something that would be a better deterrence, because the Russians are unlikely, except in a very few cases, to ever stand trial in the United States.”

Clinton struck a similar tone as that seen on the social media pages of Ryan Routh, the would-be Trump assassin who was taken into custody by the Secret Service on Sunday. Leading up to his attempt, Routh frequently opined on X that Trump was a ‘threat to Democracy.’ In April, he wrote that “DEMOCRACY is on the ballot and we cannot lose,” before adding, “We cannot afford to fail. The world is counting on us to show the way.”
Routh additionally appears to have been influenced by Democrats’ false narrative of Russian collusion by the former President. Authorities have reported that Routh was fixated on the Russian invasion of Ukraine and had a long list of grievances surrounding Trump’s foreign policy. Trump has been critical of American involvement in the war, including the billions of dollars of aid supplied to the country.

Clinton concluded her pitch by suggesting the government make an example of Trump supporters guilty of ‘misinformation.’
“So I think we need to uncover all of the connections and make it very clear that you could vote however you want, but we are not going to let adversaries, whether it is Russia, China, Iran, or anybody else, basically try to influence Americans as to how we should vote in picking our leaders,” she said.
“Literally ONE DAY after they tried AGAIN to k*ll Trump, Hillary Clinton is on MSNBC spewing violent rhetoric,” journalist Nick Sortor later wrote on X. “She’s just ticked they failed to take him out again.”
