Havana Night photos with Dr. Gina Loudon, Amanda Silvestri, and Angelique Contreras
Last night a fundraiser was held at the Lobato household in Boca Raton for Amanda
Silvestri, a candidate for Palm Beach School Board, District 6, and Angelique
Contreras, a candidate for Palm Beach School Board, District 4.
The food was good, the drinks plentiful, and the crowd was friendly.
One of the things I love most about going to local events like this is that people talk
about issues, not partisan politics. Except for the people I knew, I couldn’t tell who
was a Republican or a Democrat. Everyone did share a commitment to reforming
the Palm Beach County School Board, which is important.
I’m not a great photographer, but I’m all I have until I find an affordable local
photojournalist.
My dentist, Allen Konis, was even there.
Hostess Brandi Lobato was running around taking care of all the party details, and it
was hard to get her to stand still for a photo, so I just bushwhacked her at the bar where John Loudon was bartending.
Disclosure: I’ve personally donated to the campaigns of Angelique Contreras and
Amanda Silvestri.
