Florida Representative Matt Gaetz has started trading blows with commentator and Trump supporter Laura Loomer after Loomer claimed DeSantis rapid response director Christina Pushaw had a criminal record based on the word of known-liar and failed congressional candidate Rebekah Jones.
The feud began when Loomer went after Pushaw’s looks, to which Pushaw responded by calling Loomer disloyal, citing her failed attempt to primary the Trump-endorsed candidate for Florida’s 11th congressional district.

Loomer did not respond to the allegation directly but instead fired back with what she claimed was a screenshot proving Pushaw had a criminal record, warning Pushaw to back off.

“Hey, @ChristinaPushaw What is this? Do you have a criminal record? Why is there a failure to comply with a peace order aka restraining order that has your name on it? You think you’re so cute poking me… You really don’t want to fuck with me girlfriend.”
Pushaw quickly put down the allegation, noting that it came from a case against her leveled by Rebekah Jones, a congressional candidate who lost to Matt Gatez and is a known liar. Pushaw noted that the case was dismissed before it even got off the ground. Pushaw included a picture with a legal recognition that Jones’s allegations could not meet the necessary burden of proof.
“How embarrassing to use admitted felon and habitual liar, Rebekah Jones, the Democrat who lost to @mattgaetzlast year… as your “source.” She made false claims against me in 2021 that were DISMISSED immediately after a judge heard them. Receipt”
Gaetz then got involved himself, replying in agreement with Pushaw.

In response to Gaetz, Loomer wrote a lengthy reply claiming she had “Screenshots to prove” Rebekah Jones did not give her a copy of Pushaw’s alleged criminal record but did not share them. Loomer then went off on Gaetz, ripping him for oscillating in his support of her after she won her primary and for his support of the Trump-endorsed Daniel Webster, who she called a “RINO” Loomer also attacked Gaetz for compromising on electing the speaker of the House Keving McCarthy after his initial holdout, and for skipping the vote on a Trump’s impeachment and the J6 committee, both issues Gaetz has spoken about and voiced his opinion elsewhere. Finally, Loomer cast herself as one of “Trump’s biggest allies,” saying, “It’s always been so bizarre to me how he spends his time trying to undermine some of President Trump’s biggest Allies. Just like his buddy MTG!”

Instead of offering a lengthy rebuttal of his own, Gaetz pointed at the scoreboard, going Loomer’s lack of election wins with a brutally tongue-in-cheek tone.
