Drag Queen Performance Debuts at Country Music TV Awards – ‘RIP Country Music’

The Country Music TV (CMT) Awards show is the latest program to go woke, hosting an elaborate drag queen performance Sunday evening. Singer Kelsea Ballerini invited a group of high-profile drag queens from RuPaul’s Drag Race to join her on stage in protest of Tennessee’s new law blocking “adult cabaret performances” in front of children. Country music fans also received a lecture on trans rights and gun control.

“Thank you to these iconic queens… for celebrating love, self-expression, and performance,” Ballerini tweeted about the performance. The country music singer was joined by four drag queens, each wearing colorful mid-century clothing and high heels.

“RIP country music,” the Twitter account End Wokeness remarked.

Viewers were shocked by the performance, given the country music genre’s predominantly Republican fanbase,

“Some of y’all blindly think this trans movement is about individuality and expression, no. It’s a manipulative and sneaky way for big Pharma to have a lock on these people for the rest of their lives,” Said one response. “Wake up.”

“Budweiser and Country Music awards both caving to the Trans agenda destroying women will not achieve the psyop they desire. Their customers that support them will not tolerate the immoral lies they’re trying to shove down their throats no matter how hard the 28 yr old she/her in their ad agencies try.”

Commentator Tomi Lahren weighed in, “Y’all just don’t stop do you? Does everything have to be a platform to shove the rainbow mafia down our throats? Can you ever just do…idk…country freakin music?!!!!”

Former congressional candidate Robby Starbuck tweeted,

“All of these corporations going out of their way to shove drag queens doing woman-face and the trans agenda into family spaces absolutely hate the majority of their customers. They’re slapping you in the face daring you not to give them money. They think you’re too weak to stop”

Responding to another user who said he was unbothered by the performance, Starbuck responded,

“They know kids watch. Same reason they’ve done this at all music awards shows. They want to influence young people with it.”

Another Twitter user commented,

“Since the Nashville attack we’ve seen President Biden, the news, Budweiser, and now the Country Music Awards promote trans issues. All major American institutions — government, media, corporations, and entertainment — promote one message. That’s not coincidence. That’s a plan.”

During the award ceremony, Ballerini also used her platform to call for gun control, repeating the names of the children killed by a transgender mass-murderer in Nashville less than a week prior,

“On March 27, 2023, three nine-year-olds Evelyn Dieckhaus, William Kinney, and Hallie Scruggs along with Dr. Katherine Koonce, Cynthia Peak, Mike Hill walked into the Covenant school and didn’t walk out… The community of sorrow over this and the 130 mass shootings in the US this year alone stretches from coast to coast.”
