DeSantis Savages Biden, ‘American Nero’-‘One of the Most Disgusting Speeches’
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis responded to Joe Biden’s ‘Soul of the Nation’ Speech in Philadelphia, which has been making waves for its demonization of “MAGA republicans.”
In an interview on Fox News, DeSantis accused Biden of hypocrisy for running as a unifier but delivering a speech that has been widely acknowledged as divisive.
“‘I thought it was one of the most disgusting speeches an American president has ever given. He ran as being a unifier, and he’s basically saying to the vast majority of the country that disapproves of him that they’re effectively a threat to the republic”
President Biden is the American Nero.
Last night’s speech was a truly despicable spectacle.

DeSantis rejected Biden’s implication that opposition to him was opposition to America, instead arguing it was due to Biden’s policies. The Florida governor referenced inflation, open border policy, and the loss of American energy production as reasons for the president’s unpopularity.
“So of course, people are going to be upset at all the wreckage he’s left in his wake. He is the American Nero, he’s a failed leader, and I think that he is doing this because he’s trying to energize his base to fend off a real butt-whipping this November.”
DeSantis, however, doesn’t see Biden as the true culprit for the speech, instead blaming it on whoever was feeding Biden the teleprompter.
TRUTH: “The President of the United State is whoever is feeding his teleprompter.”

While this joke at Biden’s expense is made often, there’s more weight to it in this instance. DeSantis noted that Biden backtracked on some of the statements he made in his speech when asked on September 2nd, while his Twitter account doubled down at the same time. “I think the people who are in control at the White House want to drive the message that those who dissent from his policies are second-class citizens,” DeSantis said.

The MAGA ideology looks at America and sees carnage and darkness and despair.
I see an America with an unlimited future.
An America that is about to take off.

Much of the confusion is wrapped up in what exactly is meant by MAGA ideology. While Biden has claimed he is only referring to those who call for violence or don’t recognize the results of the 2020 election, he also identified “MAGA forces” with basic principles of conservatism in his speech. These principles included constitutional originalism and being pro-traditional marriage and pro-life.
“MAGA forces are determined to take this country backwards, backwards to an America where there is no right to choose, no right to privacy, no right to contraception, no right to marry who you love.”
DeSantis gave his take on what Biden, or whoever is controlling the White House, really means by “Extreme MAGA Republicans.”
‘The only Republicans he likes are Republicans that want him to get his way. If you stand up against his bad policies like we do in Florida, then of course he’s going to try and write you out over whose acceptable as an American citizen.
