In what could be a bellwether for the upcoming midterms, we saw a tale of two crowds in the last week when Florida Governor Ron DeSantis attended two separate concerts in Florida. At the same time, First Lady Jill Biden attended the Philadelphia Eagles game on Monday night.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis had a warm reception last weekend at a Lynyrd Skynyrd concert. When it was announced at the Hollywood, Florida, event that DeSantis was in attendance, fans broke out into patriotic chants.

DeSantis was well-received at Country Thunder in Kissimmee, Florida, one of the largest country music festivals in the United States.
The crowd also broke out into patriotic ‘USA!’ chants when DeSantis’ presence was announced.
DeSantis joins nine other Republican Governors as one of the nation’s top ten most popular Governors.
A Morning Consult tracker ranks him as the seventh most popular Governor in the country, with a net approval rating of +36%.
On the flip side, the Bidens were given a lukewarm reception in the liberal stronghold of Philadelphia last week as Jill Biden took the field before the kickoff between the Eagles and the Dallas Cowboys.
Videos on Twitter showed the First Lady being greeted with boos from thousands of fans and ‘Lets Go Brandon’ chants as she sang a rendition of ‘Fly Eagles Fly’.

Not only is Pennsylvania her home state, but Philadelphia is about as deep blue as it gets.

President Biden is currently posting a net negative approval rating of -12%, according to a 538 polling average.
Earlier this year, Biden’s approval rating was lower than Trump’s at the height of the Russiagate scandal, reaching an average of 37.2 percent according to a RealClearPolitics average.
For his part, DeSantis appears ready to cruise comfortably to re-election, with the RealClearPolitics average showing him ahead of Democrat Charlie Crist by a 10 percent margin.

Newsweek attempted to ‘fact check’ the video of the First Lady being booed by saying that only some sections of the crowd were booing her.
“Some videos did emerge, which were inconclusive at best, though it does appear that the first lady did receive some boos from at least certain sections of the crowd on Sunday.” They said.
Jill Biden’s poor reception at the Eagles game is not the first time that the Biden’s have been booed at sporting events.
Last year, President Biden was shouted down at the annual Congressional baseball game with boos and angry remarks.
The DeSantis family has made multiple appearances at concerts in Florida this year, including an appearance at a Christian concert in January to ring in the new year where he touted Florida as the ‘freest state’ in the country.
