[Video] Trans Teacher Told Therapy ‘Not Gonna Work’ After Threatening to Shoot Students
A transgender Florida middle school teacher who was arrested for allegedly threatening violence against his students told police that his own therapist said therapy would not help him, according to newly-released dashcam footage of the arrest. The video, obtained by Moms for Liberty in Hernando County, shows police serving a Risk Protection Order at the home of Alexander Renczkowski last month. Renczkowski admitted that he was experiencing “bad thoughts,” leading police to seize three firearms and ammunition from his home.
In the startling dashcam footage, an Hernando County Sheriff’s Office officer can be heard speaking with the trans middle school teacher and inquiring about his state of mind. At one point, Renczkowski mentions that he is planning to see a therapist too, to which the officer asks, “Is it your normal therapist or–?”
“It’s a brand new one,” Renczkowski replies.
“My first one [therapist] was not that good. Told me that ‘therapy is not going to work for you.”

Renczkowski is a teacher at Fox Chapel Middle School in Hernando County. He identifies as a woman named “Ashlee.”
Before the encounter recorded in the dashcam footage, Renczkowski told the school’s assistant principal that he was experiencing “bad thoughts,” according to Suncoast News. He was then reportedly sent to speak with a guidance counselor, where he allegedly admitted to wanting to shoot his students who were not performing well. His remarks were reported to the school resource officer. Still, he was allowed to continue teaching after the officer determined that Renczkowski “does not intend to hurt [himself] or anyone else.”
Afterward, police received the Risk Protection Order, leading them to seize the teacher’s firearms. Parents are now calling on Governor Ron DeSantis and Education Commissioner Manny Diaz Jr. to intervene, arguing that the school orchestrated a “coverup” by not informing parents of Renczkowski’s comments and allowing him to return to teaching.
“This new footage is very troubling, and together with the [Risk Protection Order], they bring a lot of serious questions,” Monty Floyd of Moms for Liberty told The Daily Caller.
“The prior coverup, the mishandling of this incident and the continued efforts of the school board and union to bury this, intimidate parents, and flat out lie to the public has all but wiped out public trust among a majority of parents in our school district.”

Trans Florida teacher Ashlee Renczkowski who threatened that he was “going to shoot the kids” has finally been fired.
The firing shouldn’t have taken this long when a teacher like Renczkowski is clearly a threat to his students. https://t.co/KOMZuiOAdP pic.twitter.com/Jj4Fjxsar1

On Friday morning, a petition to remove the Hernando County superintendent and school board members reached more than 1,200 signatures. The online petition states that Renczkowski was allowed to continue teaching for more than two weeks after his “psychotic episode.”
“While parents were left in the dark, this teacher was placed right back into the classroom after a rushed investigation by the District. So for 17 days, this unstable individual (see the police report) was left around children, and parents were not notified.”
Renczkowski was removed from student contact the same day transgender shooter Audrey Hale took the lives of six people at The Covenant School in Nashville, Tennessee.
