[Video] Dem Lawmaker Caught Stealing Bibles – Hiding Them in Fridge, Sofa

An Arizona state representative has been caught red-handed snatching Bibles from her unwitting colleagues and hiding them away in the House members-only lounge. Lawmakers reportedly noticed a trend of missing Bibles as far back as last month and decided to have a security camera stealthily installed to catch the culprit. The scriptural sting operation revealed the thief to be Rep. Stephanie Stahl-Hamilton, a vocal anti-Trump Democrat, who colleagues say “ran for office to wage war on the Bible.”

According to Fox News Digital, Arizona House lawmakers were first alerted to the mysterious disappearances on March 23, when a pair of Bibles on display in the members-only lounge suddenly vanished. The lounge is notably a restricted area, meaning that only lawmakers and senior staff are permitted to enter, with the exception of guests accompanied by a security escort. The Bibles eventually reappeared, stuffed under the cushions of two chairs.

Around a week later, another Bible disappeared from the lounge, only to be discovered later tucked away in the refrigerator of a nearby kitchen.

The disappearances reportedly caught the attention of House security, who became determined to find the person responsible.

When a third pair of Bibles went missing on April 10, security was able to find out exactly who was responsible, thanks to a well-placed security camera. In the footage, Democrat Representative Stephanie Stahl-Hamilton can be seen clear as day removing the Holy Bibles and stuffing them under the cushions of two sofas.

The Democrat legislator did not offer much comment to local media, instead choosing to keep her head down in a desperate attempt to evade the camera.

Interestingly, Stahl-Hamilton describes herself as a “faith leader” in her Twitter bio and reportedly practices as an ordained Presbyterian minister. Not all of the Democrat lawmaker’s colleagues are convinced, however. While it does not appear that Stahl-Hamilton is facing any formal reprimand for her actions, at least one colleague offered some choice words.

“Apparently some democrats ran for office to wage war on the Bible… I ran for office to uphold the Constitution & defend freedom,” said Arizona State Rep. Jacqueline Parker. The Republican lawmaker shared a screenshot of a 2020 Facebook post from Stahl-Hamilton, made in response to then-President Trump’s photo-op with a Bible during the George Floyd riots.

“I’m an ordained minister. I got into politics because I was so angered by the number of Bibles on desks at the Arizona State House. Holding a Bible – or any religious text – doesn’t make you a good person. Nor should you use this a political photo op.”

“This is disgusting,” Stahl-Hamilton said at the time.

“This behavior is wildly disrespectful to a sacred text,” Parker said in a follow-up Tweet. “Perhaps it should be punishable by expulsion. Since that’s a thing now.”

Jacqueline Parker is a founding member of the Arizona State Freedom Caucus.
