Vice President Kamala Harris reversed herself recently on her long-held policy of pushing for a socialistic Medicare-for-all and stole President Donald Trump’s “no tax on tips” policy, holding true to the recent accusation that she’s a “chameleon.”
A campaign official told Fox News that Harris will not push the subject of single-payer or “Medicare-for-all.”
However, Harris has supported Medicare-for-all for the entirety of her national political career. When Fox asked about her views on the matter in 2019, she wasn’t shy about her support.
“I’m glad you asked. Yeah. So, the bottom line and the most important is that everyone have access to health care,” Harris said. “That is the goal. That is the purpose for me supporting the policy of ‘Medicare-for-all.If Congress votes in a way that reflects the values and desires of the American people, then Congress will vote for a policy that gives everyone access to health care,” she later said.

Harris detailed her plan on her 2019 campaign website, according to Fox. “‘Medicare-for-all’ will cover all medically necessary services, including emergency room visits, doctor visits, vision, dental, hearing aids, mental health, and substance use disorder treatment, and comprehensive reproductive health care services,” Harris wrote. “It will also allow the Secretary of Health and Human Services to negotiate for lower prescription drug prices.”

X personality and public commentator Vince Dao tweeted a video of HArris discussing this policy and its likely destruction of private insurance.

However, Harris claims to have abandoned the position of Medicare-for-all entirely, offering no explanation, becoming more similar to Trump’s.
In an even more flagrant example, Kamala Harris promised “no tax on tips” in a recent Las Vegas rally, echoing Trump’s same announcement in Nevada, a critical swing state filled with service workers, mere weeks ago.

Before this play for votes, however, Harris had been arming the IRS to go after tip revenue.
“Following the Act’s passage, the IRS introduced the Service Industry Tip Compliance Agreement (SITCA) program in February 2023. While the IRS described SITCA as a “voluntary tip reporting program” for employers in service industries, critics argued that it was a new tool for increasing tax revenue from workers’ tips. Mike Palicz of Americans for Tax Reform noted that the program’s goal was to generate as much revenue as possible, contradicting promises that new IRS measures would not target individuals earning under $400,000.” PointReports reported on the matter.

These moves from Harris fall in line with a broader trend of her abandoning her true radical positions (at least in public) and instead starting to reflect Trump’s policy to appear moderate. Along with the previous two examples, Harris has now promised to be tough on the borders despite failing to do so for the last four years and today.
