Robert Weinroth for City Council: Investing Wisely in Boca Raton
Robert Weinroth, a longtime local lawyer, businessman, and public servant, is running for City Council to offer his experience and expertise to Boca Raton’s future. The election will take place on March 10, 2026.
“I don’t look upon it as a sacrifice. I look upon it as an opportunity to give back. And my wife and I have always been very committed to the community, both in the nonprofits and in the political world.” Weinroth told the Florida Jolt.
Weinroth is endorsed by The Realtors of Broward, Palm Beach & St. Lucie Counties, Business Leaders United for Boca Raton (BLU-PAC), the Boca Raton Chamber of Commerce PAC, and has the support of police and fire unions.

Weinroth was elected twice to the Florida Bar Board of Governors. He was elected to the City Council in Boca Raton in 2014, where he served for 4 years, then went on to be elected to the Board of County Commissioners for Palm Beach County District 4.
When asked what compelled him to run for City Council again, Weinroth reaffirmed his commitment to giving back and cited his experience as a critical advantage for Boca Raton.
“Why am I? Because I have the experience and understanding of how city government runs, how county government runs. With my experience and business background, I bring a lot of understanding of what it means to be on a city council,” Weinroth said.
Weinroth went on to explain that City Council is inherently collaborative, and that being able to convince a majority of a direction is just as important as the plan itself, a skill he has demonstrated for years.
Weinroth, a 30-year resident of Boca Raton, has worked as a lawyer and businessman here for decades. As a lawyer, he worked as a volunteer Guardian ad Litem for the 15th Judicial Circuit, advocating for the needs of abused and neglected children deemed dependent by the Court. He and his wife. Pamela Weinroth started Freedom Medical Services as an entrepreneur, a medical supply company dedicated to helping those who need diabetic testing supplies. The couple also raised two children locally.
The pair also has extensive involvement in non-profits. Ms. Weinroth is an executive director at Boca West Children’s Foundation, which supports about 30 nonprofits in Boca Raton dedicated to needy children.
“We really are committed to homegrown nonprofits, not the big ones, like the American Cancer Society or things that are nationwide, but things that have been created by parents here in Boca and South Florida because they saw a need, and they created a nonprofit agency to try and meet that need,” he told the Jolt.
Weinroth went on to discuss his major priority for Boca Raton’s future: fiscal responsibility.
” It’s important that we are making sure that we justify every dollar that we’re spending, because it’s not our money, it’s the taxpayers. We’re just being given it, and we’re responsible for spending it in a fiscally responsible fashion.” Weinroth said.
“Certainly I agree with the governor, you shouldn’t be in a situation where you’re forced out of your home because you can’t pay your taxes, and taxes should not continue to grow year after year without a real reason for those additional revenues being required,” he said.
Weinroth explained his belief in “zero-based budgeting,” in which the local government would be expected to justify every dollar in its budget each year, not just budget increases.
Weinroth also reaffirmed his longtime commitment to supporting Boca Raton’s police and fire departments.
Weinroth has served on the FL Regional Board of the Anti-Defamation League, several local HOA boards, and is currently Vice President of the Alina Residence Condominium Association. He’s served on the boards of two synagogues in financial and leadership roles. Weinroth has also been elected to sit on School Advisory Councils and served on the Boards of the Donna Klein Jewish Academy and Friends of the IDF.
“I’ve truly been honored to have had the opportunity to serve in public office in my last two positions, and I’m hoping that the voters will see their way to giving me another opportunity to serve.”
