Palm Beach County, FL — Republican Jonathan Rubin has officially filed as a candidate for Florida House District 87, launching a campaign rooted in grassroots momentum and a deep understanding of the communities that make up the district.

Rubin’s campaign will focus on reducing the cost of living, backing law enforcement, promoting fiscal discipline, and protecting the quality of life that has long defined Palm Beach County. His plan will deliver real financial relief for working families by calling for the reduction of homestead property taxes to ease the burden on homeowners, while advancing reforms to lower long-term property insurance costs—two of the most pressing financial concerns facing Palm Beach County residents.

A lifelong Palm Beach County resident and fourth-generation Floridian raising the fifth, Rubin enters the race as a nonprofit leader, small business owner, and advocate for practical, community-driven solutions. As Executive Director of the Clean Earth Initiative, a coalition of Florida nonprofits, he has worked alongside local leaders and policymakers to advance commonsense policies that support law enforcement, enhance public safety, improve infrastructure, strengthen education, and protect Florida’s beaches. As a college intern for Congressman Ron DeSantis, Rubin was inspired to pursue a deeper commitment to community leadership and civic engagement.

As the founder of Fresh Florida Farms, Rubin has firsthand experience navigating the challenges facing small businesses, agriculture, and families impacted by rising food and fuel costs. He says that experience drives his commitment to reducing regulatory burdens, supporting local enterprise, and keeping Florida’s economy strong and competitive.

Motivated by his wife, Michal, and their newborn son, Charlie, Rubin said families across District 87 are looking for steady, accountable leadership focused on results.

“I’ve spent my life in this community, and I understand the challenges families are facing because I’m living them,” Rubin said. “I’m running to deliver meaningful tax relief, bring down insurance costs, support law enforcement, and ensure our elections remain safe, secure, and transparent.”

Rubin emphasized that his campaign is built on grassroots support from residents who want a representative focused on fiscal responsibility, public safety, and preserving the quality of life that defines Palm Beach County.
