Kamala VP Pick Walz Caught with STOLEN VALOR

Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, who was named Vice President Kamala Harris’ running mate this week, was recently accused by a fellow veteran of lying about the nature of his service.

Ret. Command Sgt. Maj. Thomas Behrends, who said he was a member of Walz’s battalion, was interviewed on The Ingraham Angle this week. He reported Walz’s “stolen valor.”

Behrends claimed that Walz never reached the rank of Command Sergeant, making his self-introductions as a retired Command Sergeant Major false.

“He’s used the rank that he never achieved in order to advance his political career,” he said. “I mean, he still says he’s a retired command sergeant major to this day, and he’s not. He uses the rank of others to make it look like he’s a better person than he is,” Behrends said.

According to Behrends, the distinction makes a practical difference as well.

“To most people, that would mean that he was actually in combat, carrying a weapon in a combat zone and getting combat pay and in a dangerous and hostile environment where he is getting shot at,” he said

Even in a congressional address, Walz was introduced by this rank he never achieved (it was only granted provisionally and was later reverted)

Walz was part of the Minnesota National Guard, eventually retiring from his unit directly before his unit was sent to Iraq. Republican VP Candidate J.D. Vance slammed Walz for the timing, contrasting the stark difference between their times in the military.

“When Tim Walz was asked by his country to go to Iraq, do you know what he did? He dropped out of the Army and allowed his unit to go without him — a fact that he’s been criticized for aggressively by a lot of the people that he served with,” Vance laid out.

Worse still, a video of Walz has recently emerged online, again giving the misleading impression he saw combat overseas.

While these statements would lead anyone to assume Walz acted as an artilleryman overseas due to phrasing, despite indeed being an artilleryman, Walz was only overseas in a non-combat zone, according to the New York Times.

Harris selected Walz as her Vice Presidential running mate on Tuesday. He is a former school teacher and member of Congress from Minnesota’s first district.

In the November 5 general election, he will face former President Donald Trump and his running mate, Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH).
