Kamala Steals Trump Border Policy in Ad, Eviscerated by Border Sheriff

Democrat Presidential frontrunner Kamala Harris has faced massive backlash for her recent ad promising to be tough on the border, with even a  California Sheriff who was used in the ad disavowing the Vice President.

In her recent ad, Harris promised to be “tough on the border” with the ad citing her history as a California Prosecutor.

However, this stance starkly contrasts the rest of Harris’s record on immigration. Aside from being extremely pro-immigrant since her 2016 election to Congress, Harris was appointed the “Border Czar” by Joe Biden in 2021, overseeing a mass influx of migrants, a negative part of her record President Donald Trump quickly took advantage of.

“Under border czar Harris, illegal aliens are pouring in by the millions and millions and millions,” Trump said at a rally, according to NBC News.

One person in the ad, Tulare County Sheriff Mike Boudreaux, was included without permission. In a statement to Fox News, Bordeaux ripped into the video and made clear he and his officers do not endorse Harris.

“In light of a recent political ad put out by Kamala Harris featuring Sheriff Boudreaux, as well as other local law enforcement, the Sheriff wants to make it abundantly clear that his image is being used without his permission, and he does NOT endorse Harris for President or any other political office. The truth is, Harris never cared about the cartels and did nothing to stop people from illegally crossing the border,”

Harris’ ad claimed that “Kamala Harris has spent decades fighting violent crime as a border-state prosecutor. She took on drug cartels and jailed gang members for smuggling weapons and drugs across the border,” including Borudreax and some of his officers at that point. Boudreaux made clear that  then-AG Harris’ photo-op was just “smoke and mirrors.”

“She never came in to say hello and say thank you to any of the law enforcement officers, nor did she shake anyone’s hand,” he told OAN.

“How can you go in and promote that you were this tight border person when all the troops are coming across the border, and you literally are eliminating all these task forces?” he asked.

Bourdreaux’s comments echo the Trump-Vance ticket’s observations that Harris and her campaign have been “chameleonic,” an accusation Harris seems to have confirmed herself with this ad.

“She doesn’t have her policy positions out there. She hasn’t answered why she wanted to ban fracking, but now she doesn’t. She wanted to fund the police but now she doesn’t. She wanted to open the border, but now she doesn’t. She should have to answer for why she presents a different set of policies to one audience and a different set of policies to another audience, and I think that’s what President Trump was getting at. This is a fundamentally fake person.”
