Don’t let Democrats lie to you about the illegal immigration crisis. Under Governor Ron DeSantis’s leadership, Florida has successfully begun to get this crisis under control.
Democrats will have you believe that innocent, law-abiding citizens are being snatched off the street in some racist rampage and thrown into a boiling hot dungeon of some kind, Alligator Alcatraz, with nothing but grey meat to eat, but don’t believe it. Governor DeSantis is doing precisely what Florida elected him to do, and he’s calling Democrats out for being more concerned about criminals than actual Floridians.
DeSantis recently put Florida Democrats on notice, pointing out their silence on the suffering of Angel Moms like State Representative Kiyan Michael (R-Jacksonville), whose son was tragically killed by an undocumented immigrant. DeSantis rightly highlighted that Democrats have consistently failed to stand up for Floridians’ safety, instead choosing to protect illegal immigration at all costs. Democrats are doubling down on the narrative that illegal immigrants are the victims. One recent example that happened in West Palm Beach.
A local man, born and raised in West Palm Beach, legally living in this country, was arrested and detained alongside his undocumented mother and two other undocumented men during what started as a routine traffic stop. It’s a sad situation for him, no doubt—having to face detention when he is an American citizen, but he’s not exactly innocent. The people he was with are here illegally and breaking the law. His mother, who is undocumented, was found driving with a suspended license—a clear disregard for legal process and public safety. Just because she has been living here without papers for a long time doesn’t make it acceptable, and two other men in the car were also undocumented. Everyone needs to follow the legal path to citizenship, just like every immigrant who wants to do it correctly.

This incident took place as Florida is moving forward with historic immigration enforcement measures, including the construction of “Alligator Alcatraz,” a state-of-the-art detention facility aimed at holding those who violate immigration laws and commit other crimes. Florida is taking a strong stance, leading the nation in protecting its citizens and enforcing the rule of law. Naturally, Democrats are furious—they are vocalizing incidents like the West Palm case as if people are being “snatched off the street” for no reason. This is pure political gaslighting intended to poison public opinion against law enforcement and conservative policies.
The truth is, Floridians want safe communities and respect for the law—not political theater. Arresting those who break immigration laws is necessary, even when family ties complicate the issue. It sends a clear message: living in the country illegally isn’t a free pass, and there are consequences. The narrative pushed by Democrats—that these enforcement efforts are racist or unfair—is a tired and dangerous distraction.
Illegal immigration is a crisis that didn’t happen overnight. Its resolution requires patience, persistence, and strong leadership. Florida is choosing to put itself first by prioritizing its law-abiding residents and standing firm on immigration. It’s time for every Floridian to see through the Democratic rhetoric and support sensible enforcement to keep Florida safe and prosperous for all who follow the law. Keep going, President Trump and Governor Ron DeSantis, you’re both on the right side of history.
