According to the arrest affidavit, Brucker traveled with a female acquaintance to spend the Christmas weekend in Palm Coast. In the early hours of Monday morning, things went south, and Brucker began to punch and strangle the woman. The victim fought him off, ran out to the second-floor balcony, and began to yell for help.

Brucker broke down the door to the balcony, and the victim leaped from the balcony into the bushes below to escape Brucker. Brucker then came downstairs and caught the victim. He then dragged her across the street when a witness intervened and yelled at Brucker to let go of the victim. Brucker let the victim go and fled in a white truck. The witness helped the victim call  911 for help.

Flagler deputies arrived and found the truck abandoned nearby. An area search for Brucker and deputies were able to contact him via cell phone. Brucker could be heard yelling into the phone at the deputies which gave away his hiding location.

After further investigation, Deputies determined that Brucker was in violation of a no-contact order from another county.

Brucker was taken into custody without further incident and transported to the Green Roof Inn where he was charged with Violation of the No Contact Order, and Strangulation – Domestic Violence. Brucker is being held on no bond.

“We have zero tolerance for domestic violence in Flagler County,” added Sheriff Staly. “I hope the victim gets the help she needs to break the cycle of abuse before he kills her.”

Unknown as to whether the victim suffered any injuries during her jump from the balcony in addition to the injuries from Brucker.
