Well Dressed Florida Man Freaking Out Residents by Knocking on Doors with a Machete
A well-dressed man has some residents in Lauderhill, Florida on edge. The man is seen on video walking up to a residents front entrance and tapping on their front door with the handle portion of a machete in his hand. The man then turns around and leaves. The man just came from across the street after doing the same thing to another residence.
The man was caught doing this twice on doorbell cameras. In the videos, the man appears well dressed in business attire with a long sleeved shirt, slacks, and a tie. His physical description is slim, bald, and wearing glasses. He approaches the doors like he’s there on a business call or something. Swiftly walking up, ringing the bell, but then leaving just as quickly.
Residents in the neighborhood near North University Drive and Inverrary Boulevard are concerned about the machete man, and a few went driving around the neighborhood in search of the man. Since no one is sure of his identity or why someone would walk around with a machete, they are worried. Is he just trying to scare people with a bad joke? Does he have mental issues?

Lauderhill Police were called, and they are on the lookout for him also. They stated that while the man is acting in a bizarre manner, he hasn’t actually broken any laws yet, but they want to identify him and find out why he’s acting this way. Police have asked neighborhood residents to check their camera footage and see if the man appears, and they’ve stepped up patrols in the area hoping to find him.
I would suggest that the police step up their efforts to find this man. If this continues, the odds are that sooner or later he’s going to knock on the wrong door and catch some lead.
