A Florida man, Spyridon Voulgarakis, 31, of Tarpon Springs, was arrested for Video Voyeurism and battery after a hidden spy camera was discovered inside the men’s bathroom at the “We Spy Coffee and More” coffee shop. The shop is located at 505 Dodecanese Blvd. The shop is in Tarpon Springs on the sponge dock strip and serves coffee and Greek specialties as Tarpon Springs is Known for its large Greek population.

On Monday, March 13, The Tarpon Springs Police Department responded to the “We Spy Coffee and More” coffee shop, after getting a call from a customer. The victim told officers he spotted a camera under the sink recording him.
Tarpon Springs Police Department detective John Melton said, “it was an iPhone that was propped underneath the sink, and it was upside down,” “He picked the phone up, and he looked at it, and he saw that it was actually actively making a video recording.”
After discovering the camera, the victim then confronted an employee, later identified as Spyridon Voulgarakis. Voulgarakis reportedly got nervous and tried to take his phone back from the victim but ended up hitting the victim in the process, according to Melton.
Voulgarakis later admitted to detectives that he hid the camera to secretly record men he found attractive using the restroom.

He’s now charged with misdemeanor battery and video voyeurism, but Melton believes there could be “more victims out there.”

The Tarpon Springs Police Department is asking anyone who’s visited We Spy Coffee since February 13 and used the men’s bathroom is urged to contact Det. Melton at 727-938-2849.
