Former President Donald Trump visited the Versailles Cafe Tuesday after being arraigned in federal court for the alleged mishandling of classified documents stored at his Mar-a-Lago estate.
After departing the courthouse, Trump made a campaign stop at the Cuban restaurant Versailles in Miami.
During the stop, which has been frequented by Presidential candidates in recent history, Trump prayed with faith leaders in the state, did a photo op with high-profile MMA fighter Jorge Masdival, and was treated to a rendition of ‘Happy Birthday’ by supporters as the former President turns 77 on Wednesday.

Cuban Americans have become a reliable constituency for Republicans in Florida and have been an essential part of the state’s rightward turn.
A 2020 poll conducted in the November election run-up found that Cubans identify with the Republican Party over the Democratic Party by a 20-point margin.

Videos of supporters singing ‘happy birthday’ to Trump on his way out of the restaurant went viral, and videos of many Hispanic and Cuban faith leaders praying over Trump at the notable restaurant.

During the visit to the restaurant, Trump briefly spoke on the indictment that he was just arraigned for, calling it ‘rigged.’
‘I think it’s a rigged deal here,’ he said. ‘I’m going to make a little speech tonight in Bedminster, and I hope you’re going to be there,’ the ex-president said.
In another video, Trump promised ‘food for everyone’ before taking a picture with MMA star Jorge Masdival. Masdival has been a vocal supporter of Trump and has praised him at fights where Trump has been present. Trump is a fan of MMA and friends with UFC President Dana White.

Before arriving at the courthouse, Trump decried the indictment as a ‘witch hunt.’
‘ON MY WAY TO COURTHOUSE. WITCH HUNT!!! MAGA.’ He said on Truth Social.
Trump’s lawyer, Alina Habba, tore into Special Counsel Jack Smith and the Department of Justice, saying they are facilitating the ‘Destruction of the longstanding American principles that have set this country apart for so long.’
She said the Justice Department and local DAs have become increasingly biased in recent years and disregard due process in political prosecutions.
‘In recent years, we have seen the rise of politically motivated prosecutors who don’t care for impartiality, don’t care for due process for equal protection of laws,’ she said.

Trump similarly condemned Special Counsel Jack Smith, calling him a ‘Trump hater’ and accusing him of planting evidence.
‘This is the Thug, overturned consistently and unanimously in big cases, that Biden and his CORRUPT Injustice Department stuck on me. He’s a Radical Right Lunatic and Trump Hater, as are all his friends and family, who probably “planted” information in the “boxes” given to them. They taint everything that they touch, including our Country, which is rapidly going to HELL!’ he said.
