Video-Pizza Delivery Man Hero Trips Up Suspect for Police During Foot Pursuit
Pennsylvania Man Tyler Morrell is a hero today after he was seen on a viral doorbell video assisting the local police with the takedown of a stolen vehicle suspect.
In a stolen car, two teens, ages 17 and 19, were chased by Brookhaven police. The vehicle came to a stop as Morrell was delivering a pizza to a home nearby. The passenger door opened, and the 19-year-old suspect bailed out of the stolen car and started to run with police in foot pursuit.

Morrell stepped down from the house’s front steps as the pursuit neared him, and as the suspect got near, he stuck out his leg and tripped him up. The suspect went down, and pursuing officers were on top of him quickly.
“I was raised to step in if you see something that’s not right. So I just wanted to do my part,” the pizza delivery man told Fox29.

He added that he was sure “the pizza was completely unharmed and enjoyed afterward.”
His actions earned him thanks from the Brookhaven Police Department, which wrote on Facebook: “Thank you, Sir, for the assist, “If you’re interested in a job, we always look for good people.”
However, Brookhaven Borough Police Chief Mike Vice told CBS: “I applaud him for that, but like I said, we do want people to know that we generally, we don’t want them to intervene. We like to take care of it ourselves.”
Police said drugs and paraphernalia were found in the car and said that the teens would be charged.
Officers added that the pair were also charged with possessing the stolen property, fleeing and eluding, and resisting arrest.
