On Monday, the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office received a call from Target Store loss prevention officers in Palm Coast that a man, later identified as Romero, had stolen from Target, and what they believed to be his white pickup truck was about to pull out of the parking lot.
The communications center ran the tag and informed deputies that the owner of this truck had an active arrest warrant in Putnam County for third-degree grand theft, and a high-risk traffic stop began.
Flagler deputies arrived just As Romero was about to reverse out of the parking lot; they pulled up and told him to step out of the vehicle. Bodycam footage posted on the sheriff’s Facebook page shows the arrest. “Step away from the truck,” a deputy yells. Another deputy then orders Romero in Spanish: “Anda por atras! Ven para aca!” (Walk back! Come here!) Romero complied, placing his arms behind his back as he was cuffed, the bodycam shows.
After deputies handcuffed Romero, they began walking him to the patrol car, and his pants fell. Out of the pants fell a bright pink vibrating adult toy police say was stolen from Target.

The device appeared to begin vibrating after hitting the ground. The deputy also discovered various other products, such as lubricant, personal protection, and a t-shirt, which were not paid for in the store.
Romero had paid for some food items that he’d picked up but not others.
