Transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney was surprised this week after journalist James O’Keefe of Project Veritas fame showed up at the Beverly Hills Four Seasons with an entire camera crew, ready to ask some tough questions. O’Keefe–now operating under the eponymous “O’Keefe Media Group”–caught Mulvaney off guard and confronted him over recent reports of the Washington prison system housing trans-identifying biological men with female inmates.
“Dylan Mulvaney is inside the women’s restroom right now,” O’Keefe said, leading up to the confrontation. “So, I’m going to ask him for comment about our story regarding women being raped in prison by men claiming to be transgender.”
The face-off came amid growing backlash surrounding Mulvaney’s rise from TikTok influencer to a powerful corporate spokesperson. Mulvaney has most recently served as a marketing tool for Nike and Bud Lite, profiting millions of dollars from his sponsorships. The trans influencer’s partnership with Anheuser-Busch appears to have been a bridge too far, however, and has drawn intense criticism, leading to a boycott of the company’s products.
While Mulvaney has insisted he is smiling through the controversy, that did not appear to be the case during his interaction with O’Keefe.

“Women are being raped in a prison in Washington state by men claiming to be transgender,” O’Keefe asked Mulvaney, approaching him in the luxury hotel lobby. “There’s footage of them talking about the rape. Do you have a comment on the story of the women being raped by the men claiming to be transgender?”
Mulvaney quickly darted away from O’Keefe, taking off towards the elevator.
“What do you think about the women who are being raped by the men who are transgender?” Do you have a comment about that?”
The trans influencer broke his silence just once to tell O’Keefe and his crew not to follow him into the elevator.
The contentious interaction was posted online shortly after the O’Keefe Media Group issued a disturbing report about male inmates being housed in Washington State’s prison system. According to the anonymous interviews with multiple female inmates, the state’s policies regarding transgender inmates have been exploited on a mass scale, with men faking transgender identities to gain access to female prisons and even abuse the inmates.
“So, we have men rapists, men murderers, child rapists, men who have killed women and are in prison for raping and killing women who get put in our rooms,” one inmate told the media group.
“I know there’s some having sex with women — there was some, like, assaulting, but no one reported it.
They cater to the trans community. All you have to do is say that you are a woman, that you now, when you’re in county, say that you identify as a woman, and you can come straight to here from county. The guys don’t even have to go to the men’s prison first.”

In the interview, another female inmate expresses feeling unsafe. According to her, the prisoners are pressured not to speak up due to the prison system’s tolerance policies,
“My safety is now in jeopardy because I cannot voice my freedom of speech, but that doesn’t apply anymore because now they’re implementing this new gender equality role that forces us to conform to what they want us to believe in about the transgenders.
A lot of the men in the men’s institution are literally coming up with strategies in order to conform to the transgender thing… We don’t have a voice, we don’t have a leg to stand on. Any time we voice these types of things, we are met with ridicule, targeting, bias, punishments, solitary confinement.”
